Neat, tidy hotel in the center, nothing morePosted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Location, parking
Cons: For the price of the room, free wifi
Location: Well placed for everything in Seattle - right in the center
Considering this is a Westin and quite an expensive option, it's disappointing that they don't offer free wifi. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the parking is very convenient.

Clean, great location but too many add onsPosted Oct 18, 2014
The hotel is great but at the price you are paying charging extra for parking and Internet seem a but petty. I would prefer it to be all included.

Room and bathroom need to be updated. No toiletries in bathroom. Gave us a crappy room with a view of e next building roof. We changed room but it was still disappointing

great stayPosted Oct 15, 2014
Great hotel in a great location in Seattle. Hotel was very clean and room was great. We will stay there again next time we are in Seattle. Location is right in the heart of downtown. Close to everything!

Pricey and professionalPosted Oct 14, 2014
Good stay. Note that condo construction obscures the space needle from view at the north tower. Self-parking is super-easy & pricey, but worth it to eliminate one headache from the trip.

Pleasant and very centrally locatedPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: No frills
Cons: Lobby and common areas
Location: Very centrally located in the downtown area
It is a centrally located hotel, with spacious rooms and friendly staff. All these are characteristics that perhaps make up for average common areas and uninspiring decor.

LousyPosted Oct 9, 2014
Cons: Everything:. staff, public spaces, rooms.
Location: Fortunately the location is good, so you can escape this over-priced third rate hotel.
No staff at check in (15 minute wait), dilapidated lobby, elevators malfunctioned, clock broken, ventilation broken, plastic chairs. And one evening smoke filled the lobby.

Westin SeattlePosted Oct 1, 2014
This is a great facility in the midst of downtown Seattle and is within walking distance of lots of attractions... But, as we were leaving, my sister forgot a vest hanging in the closet of our room. When we discovered it was not with us I called the front desk to report it. I have now called three days in a row and it was never found by housekeeping. Each time I called I was asked to leave my contact info and they said they'd call if they discover it. Also every time I called they had no record of my previous calls. Still no word back. Although it was our mistake to forget a belonging, I feel as though the situation was not handled effectively or respectfully. I'd probably not stay there again based on this event.

Great views, poor soundproofingPosted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: The views and the comfortable beds. Also, its location, close to all public transportation.
Cons: Soundproofing, better arrangements inside the rooms (i.e. do not place tvs and sound systems next to common doors)
When we first entered our room, we gasped looking at the breathtaking view. This was a "high floor" room and we were placed in the 46th (out of 47) floor. The room was small but the bed mattresses & pillows very comfortable. However, once the guests in the room next to us (the "Royal suite") arrived, our stay got less perfect. There is a door that seems to connect the two rooms and apparently they've placed the tv set and radio right next to it in the Royal suite. This, and very poor soundproofing, in combination with our loud neighbors, made our stay very unpleasant. Apparently the lady next door got so excited that she started calling all her friends (around 3pm) inviting them to the room. Soon more people arrived and we could hear all their conversations (on top of the music). At some point we left, and came back late at night, when the music was still on. As I have two small kids that needed to sleep, we called the reception to inform them (around 10pm). Long story short, we had to call three times in order for someone to be sent upstairs and do something about the noise. We ended up sleeping around 11:30pm, only to be awaken around 3am by their tv. Again, we had to call twice, in the middle of the night, and have it settled. There goes our relaxing stay. I would expect better conditions and customer service for such an expensive room/hotel. All we got was some "preferred guest" points-not enough to buy anything via their spg program.

Getting OldPosted Sep 29, 2014
Cons: Re-model, carpet. Maybe a better bar.
Location: Shopping and restaurants are great!
Was happy with the room and the staff. Was somewhat disappointed with how worn everything seemed. You know, things like carpet, furniture, etc. Wished for coffee in the room and how about a fridge for my leftovers, etc? We had gone to a concert and when we got back to the hotel, there was no bar to have a drink or appetizers. Had to leave, on foot to do that. Also, the "down" button on elevator on our floor didn't work, so we had to go up first, then down.
