Loved University Inn

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: The bedding choices
Cons: More space for breakfast
Location: Close to all we needed
Brought dogs. Recieved a doggie gift bag! Found parking immediately, LOVED THE BEDS AND BEDDING!! Totally new experience to have a sheet/personal duvet in one. Slept with my 11 year old daughter with NO problem for the first time! Ordered the duvet for my home. I stay in hotels often and was really taken with this bedding idea of sheet/duvet for 1. Found the staff extremely pleasant. Fun pool, and well kept tucked into a little alcove. Charming place!

Nice refresh/upgrades.

Wonderful linen, towels and bedding, but structure is basically a motel. Un-inviting pool. Small rooms. At $250 a night with fees, very expensive.

Nice, easy check in. Very friendly staff. Location is easy for pretty much anywhere in the city. Parking is free which is huge!

Crappy motel close to UWMC

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Moldy wet stinky carpet! No ice machine. No parking! Difficult to access w a wheel chair or cart. Not handicap accessible except for the rear entrance, balconies locked off because they are unsafe, dogs allowed in rooms, breakfast quality is poor!

Nice Hotel next to UW

Posted Jun 29, 2015
This was a great find! I have no idea how this counts as a 2 or 3 star hotel! Great price and great comfort in the room. If I stay in seattle again I will stay here. PORTAGE BAY is the best breakfast place I have ever been to in WA. #EatLikeYouGiveADamn

Very good value, close to UW campus

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Staff, location, parking.
Cons: TV in the breakfast room set to a low level.
Location: UW campus, good restaurants within walking distance.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. AC doesn't have a thermostat, you have to constantly turn on and off to make the room the desired temperature. Love the dispensers in the bathroom which eliminates a lot of waste. All hotels should have dispensers. Hallway on second floor smells strange and it's a pretty strong smell. Breakfast is pretty good, dining room is quiet, could stand a TV for some background noise, plus it would be nice to see the news in the morning. Parking is GREAT and you're close to campus which is where we wanted to be. On one of the days we stayed there, our room didn't get cleaned until about 3:30pm. Not a huge deal. The best things about this place are the staff, the location, and the parking.

great location, dog friendly, retro-vibe

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: affordable, dog friendly, great location, lots of freebies
Cons: local coffee in the rooms! Come on!
This place is great, small-ish rooms, but remodeled with a very cool Seattle style. They are dog friendly and leave you a goodie bag in your room for your 4-legged friend. The pool is awesome - this place is a really nice alternative to the chain hotels! University District has great food and they even have loaner bikes to cruise around on complimentary!

Good location close to the University. Nice stay. Great staff. Decent continental breakfast. Internet was free, but not the best as it kept dropping out on us.

Fantastic staff

Pros: Helpful staff. Amazing bedding. Cute pineapple huskies in the room
Location: Good location. Close to UW and very lievely
The staff went out of their way to help with everything they could. Friendly and helpful but not over the top. Great services provided, such as the courtesy bus and afternoon cupcakes.

Not bad, expected better.

Posted Jun 5, 2015
I did not have a bad stay here, but the room fell below the pineapple hospitality standards I have come to expect. No refrigerator or microwave in the room for a weeks stay was a huge disappointment. The drain in the bathtub was very slow and by the end of my shower I was sloshing around in ankle deep water. The European-style bedding didn't do it for me, I thought it was weird and they just never seem to stay on the bed. No ice machine or vending machines on any of the floors on my side of the hotel. Apparently there is a newer side, and an older side of the hotel, I was on the older side for which they apparently book out to Expedia reservations. The hotel staff as always was very friendly and helpful. Having stayed at other pineapple hospitality hotels, I would definitely stay with them whenever I visit Seattle, however I don't think I would stay at this one again.
