Very comfortable and excellent location.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Location, comfort, staff.
Cons: Some seating in the upstairs lobby area. When I left, they were hosting an event downstairs. That left no where to seat and wait for my shuttle.
Location: Right in the heart of downtown. Close to museum, Pike Place Market, waterfront, Pioneer Square, shopping on 5th Avenue.
Room was clean and well-attended. Outstanding bed linens and Bliss products. Excellent room service-and very quick delivery. Love the location. All staff were friendly and accommodating.

Just ok, not the standard I would expect from the

Posted Jul 14, 2015
I expected more from the W. The one redeeming factor was that the bed was extremely comfortable. This is usually rare since I don't get much sleep in hotels but this bed was rather comfortable.

Great location!

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: The location
Cons: The hotel did not have a swimming pool
Location: Great location, shops, eateries, the monorail and Pike's market is just blocks away. Also the metro. Great way to get around.
The experience was great! Checking in was efficient; however, the room was facing a garage. We asked for another room and was given another one the next day with a Spectacular view! The overall stay was good.

Long Weekend Trip.

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Staff were nice.
Cons: The check-in could have been accelerated. The concierge did not have great restaurant recommendations for Italian food.
Location: Near Pike's Market and Starbucks Reserve Roasting facility.
The W Hotel's computers were down when I arrived. So, check-in was a bit slow. I had to call security one night due to disruptive children in room next door. The staff were very nice. The view from the room I was in on the 10th floor was horrible.

Expected More

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Location is pretty good, the hotel is located close to everything. That's the best I can say though... The beds were way to soft, hard to enjoy a vacation when you haven't had a good nights sleep. Free wifi would have gone a long way to help, but they don't have it.

A Nice Hotel in a Great Location

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Staff and cleanliness
Cons: In our room the toilet paper holder was approximately 3 feet away from the toilet.
Location: Pike Market is down the street. The monorail is close to take you to EMP etc. Westlake Mall is nearby. The Stadiums are 3 stops away on the Link.
We enjoyed our stay at the W Seattle. It is a nice hotel in a great location for getting around without a car. We were able to see the sights that we wished to by either walking, taking the Link or monorail over to the EMP/Needle/Park. We have friends in the area so they were able to drive us to other spots or pick us up... otherwise it would have been a completely different trip. We may have rented a car for a couple of the days but the cost of parking at the W is prohibitive. They really don't want you to drive in Seattle. All in all very pleasant with clean rooms and a very nice staff.

Hotel needs to undergo renovation

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: centrally located
Cons: expensive parking, renovation needed.
Location: the Fairmont is across the street. Wished we had booked there
The lobby is unwelcoming and the restaurant is closed. Carpets are worn and the furniture in my room was scratched, dented, and in need of repair.

Super friendly staff

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: The super friendly staff.
Cons: Free Wi-Fi in the rooms.
Location: Very central. Walking distance to most major attractions (Pike Place Market, the Big Wheel and aquarium) and easy access to the rest of them.
First time in Seattle and at this hotel. Pleseantly surprised by the most welcoming and helpful staff. Not a bad thing to say. Only slightly disappointed that Wi-Fi in the rooms was not free. This was only available for a time limit in the public spaces of the hotel.

Bar best part of the hotel

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: The bar
Cons: Service
Location: In a good part of down town seattle
The Bar at the W is the best asset of the hotel but you don't have to be a guest to drink there. The problem is that the hotel in not about service. The parking attendants made us move our car for his convenience. I tip the parking attendant $10 to take two bags and he left them in the lobby unattended. Check in is like boarding a plane. The room is nice but has not changed since the last time I stayed there (in 1999). The amount of money I paid I probably could have stayed at a ***** hotel. The location is very good but so are other hotels. If given the chance, I would stay at the Fairmont or Four Seasons instead. They don't have a car service for guests like other hotels do so plan on walking or Uber. The bed is comfortable but soft.
