A great hotel for leisure or businessPosted Apr 1, 2013
Pros: Welcome, simplicity, food, restaurant service, wine, location
Cons: Young children in the main restaurant in the evening
Location: Right in its own beach and very close to Ryde.
Excellent service in this very friendly hotel. Room was lovely and warm on what was a very cold day - so welcoming. Restaurant service very good and all staff very interested in us - a refreshing change. Food superb - simply cooked local produce - a fabulous experience. Excellent for a short break taking a dog as there are special rooms (not luxurious) that will take dogs too.

Priory Bay Hotel in Isle of WightPosted Oct 27, 2011 on Hotels.com
We stayed just for one night - but we would definitely return. All members of staff were excellent. The hotel, room, food and the grounds were excellent. We would love to see it during the summer or at Christmas.

Priory Bay Hotel - Stay nowhere else on the IOWPosted Jul 17, 2011 on Hotels.com
We wished we could have stayed longer and will certainly return again. The ambience and location of the hotel are a real treat. Why it is only 3 stars is beyond me as it feels like a 4 star plus hotel

Golf course very poor - pool open June September!!Posted Apr 12, 2011
Beautiful hotel but very disappointed. We were unlucky enough to be put in a lovely room that was overlooked by other rooms - one window was screwed shut as it was defective on the hottest day so far - the bathroom window did open but sitting in the bath inhaling smoke from the patio beneath! Surprised to find the open air pool closed and I am sure it will bother a lot of customers as it does not open until June as it is unheated! - I am sure people would love to swim over Easter. I do have to say the beach was amazing, but the golf course was the worst I have seen and when mentioned to the staff the chap behind the desk retorted that nobody had complained, they wanted to charge extra for residents to play - the only thing we saw on the course over Friday, Saturday and Sunday was a helicopter.
