Best hotel close to my sister's place in Sebastopo

Staff helpful, also they pointed out needing to pre- pay Golden Gate Bridge tolls to avoid high rental car added fees.

Good hotel w/ pool and hot tub amenities

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Front desk is open 24/7 for check in and security. My sister and I felt very safe. Lovely view of the local hills from the pool and hot tub. Only minor drawback was the lack of a fan only option on the heating/cooling in the room. You are either heating or cooling the room. If not, it can get stuffy.

Auto Control

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: I liked the air conditioning set up.
Cons: Some of the chairs in the eating area were too large for the tables.
The room's air conditioning turned on as you walked in. This made for a comfortable entrance. The lights for the bathroom turned on as one oprned the door. There were 3 choices of lighting which did turn off after awhile. The room was was clean and service was taken care of while I traveled. The breakfast was fine and there was variety of cereals, muffins, and fruits along with the eggs and sausage patties. The gal working the breakfast was very hard-working, helpful, and polite. I think the chairs selected for the eating area were too large for the tables. Overall, the facilities were very nice.

Nice Weekend

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Perfect location, nice amenities, beautiful rooms.
Cons: A little more variety in the breakfast and a couple of more machines in the fitness room.
Location: The Barlow is great (we wine tasted there), and some pretty cool restaurants. The HImalaya Tandoori was especially great!
We stayed in Sebastapol because our 14 year old daughter was doing a musical voice weekend camp. This hotel was located in an ideal location, and we are use to staying at Marriott associated facilities.

A little noisy with a view of the liquor store.

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: The staff seemed friendly and the room was clean.
Cons: A little firmer beds would be a start.
Location: One reason I booked this hotel was because it was closer to the restaurants in Occidental.
Perhaps it's just because I am in construction, but the three rooms I was given were all facing the hi way and liquor store. I'm sure that had I been on vacation, I would certainly had asked for different rooms. When I work out of town I always pay a little more to make up for being away from home. The rooms weren't anything special. The beds were too soft for me and the breakfast was quite average. I will probably not stay here again. For the price there are quite a few other options.

Visiting daughter

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Would appreciate being able to open the windows for more feesh air; the area has wonderful weather. The air conditioners are noisy.
Location: Beach, wine tasting, wonderful restaurants
Standard room w/2 queen size beds. I treat my daughter to wi-if and TV when I come into town. We like the location because it is close to some favorite restaurants.

Thanks for the positive comments. Overall it sounds like your stay was good. The windows don't open more because mainly there is a safety code we must follow as a Marriott hotel + there is a local code we must also follow. The AC unit is loud, but a quieter thermostat is not something readily available as yet. I hope you continue to stay with us, we enjoy having you.

Great location for lotsa stuff

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pretty awesome facilities overall... Being picky I found the closets kinda hard to open, loved the idea that they're Non-Smoking rooms, in spite of being a smoker ( made me appreciate the joy of the habit!), they encourage u to recycle your bath towels but the "help" don't truly understand what that's about so don't worry bout it (bless their hearts), but overall IT FELT LIKE HOME! Thanx

Awesome hotel , everything great including breakfast. Won't stay there again until they get darkening drapes. Was like day light all night because of sheers and bright lights in parking lots .

Thank you for your comments. We expect to be refreshing the hotel guest rooms in the next year or so, which will include new draperies. We do have blackout drapes now, so a quick call to the front desk would've brought someone to help you.

Second time we've stayed here for the Vineman triathlon...very clean and within easy distance of the start of the race in Guerneville. Will probably book it early for next year as well.
