To get a real feel for the various sights, sounds and textures of Bucharest, step out and explore surrounding areas like Parliament, Bucharest, and Lipscani.
To really get a feel for Bucharest, visit one of its many cultural destinations. Stroll around the exhibits and enjoy the atmosphere of the George Enescu Museum and Bucharest Museum. See local and touring artists live on stage at the Odeon Theatre, the Romanian National Opera and Palace Hall.
There are a number of beautiful natural destinations here so don’t miss the chance to get outdoors. Read a book or newspaper in one of the local parks and gardens, which include Icon's Garden, the State Circus Park and the Ion Voicu Park.
To really get a feel for the area, visit some of the local sights such as Revolution Square, University Square and the Radu Voda Monastery. These spots are much-loved by locals and tourists alike. For a relaxing change of pace, spend a little time at the area’s holy places, such as Cretulescu Church.
Get familiar with the local fashion and do some people-watching in a few of the nearby shopping venues such as the Unirea Shopping Center and Bucharest Mall.
Dinamo Stadium is the perfect place to hang out with lovers of soccer, and to see local legends, the Dinamo Bucaresti, in all their glory. On game days follow the sea of red, to the stadium, then after the final siren sounds, join local soccer lovers in the nearby pubs and relive the action over a friendly drink or two.
