Clean, basic and convenientPosted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: Clean and convenient.
Needed a basic hotel near Sedan. The hotel receptionist was very helpful and was able to direct us to our rendezvous with a friend.

A hotel which has listened to what people wantPosted Sep 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
After a long day's drive to the ferry in Dover and then from Calais to Sedan, this hotel ticked almost all the boxes for us. It was easy to find (with sat nav) just off the motorway yet located in a quiet setting surrounded by trees and shrubs. We had a decent sized room with an extremely comfortable king sized bed - we have stayed in 4 hotels during our trip since, some of them double the price, and it has been the best bed to date. There is a good hair dryer in the bathroom, sensible shower gel and soap dispensers instead of silly little sachets and a good, big shower with detachable showerhead if you don't want to get your hair wet. A big useful desk occupies the window wall, equipped with a kettle and supplies for making hot drinks, which is unusual in French hotels. The flat screen TV on the wall had an excellent picture and goo range of channels. The bar with terrace was reasonable and relaxing after the drive, and we were lucky to have warm evening sunshine to sit out and enjoy over a beer. The reasonably priced meal in the restaurant was good, if not cordon bleu, and service there and at reception was pleasant and helpful. The only negative point was having to carry bags up to the first floor, as there is no lift and the rooms are accessed by an outside balcony corridor.

Good for an overnoght stop when travelling furtherPosted Sep 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
Average to poor bedrooms but a good restaurant which is obviously relatively new and in a separate building. We used it for an overnoght stay on a journey to Alsace and it served that purpose.

Perfect stop over. Nice white cotton sheets, aircon a bonus that night. Extremely good value for money.

Breakfast service was poorPosted Jul 22, 2009 on Hotels.com
This hotel was nice and clean and the staff, albeit through a language barrier, were pleasant enough. My big grumble would be that the breakfast was scheduled to run until 10am and on more than one occasion the staff let certain food items run empty up to an hour before the scheduled end of breakfast service. I had to request a top up at least once on every breakfast we had. At one point they let the ham, cheese and bread run out by 9:30 am. Even less happy once we deduced that we were actually paying for the lack lustre breakfasts instead of them being complimentary like we thought they'd be.

Good quality excellent value great servicePosted Apr 28, 2009 on Hotels.com
I was in a party of eight and the thing which impressed us all was the exceptional service from the manageress who was on duty until late and up bright and early next day for breakfast.
