Great view!

The hotel great location. Great views. Room was ok. Had to call front desk for ice. In room snacks good. But expensive. No vending machines. No local convenience stores. Staff was great. Restaurant good small menu. Well stocked bar. Bring own snacks and soft drinks.

There is paradise on earth

The whole Sedona experience was spectacular! The hotel staff and facilities were outstanding. The only small negative was that the walls were a little thin with upstairs and hallway sounds carrying.

Nice hotel, but has its problems

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Nice views from the patio/restaurant. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: See above. The deck from room 101 just had a view of the wall of the resort next door. Walls are paper thin
Location: Sedona's great with great hiking
I was expecting better. Room I was in had a accessible (walk in) shower, which would drain into the carpet outside the bathroom. They tried to fix it with limited success. I made a dam with towels which worked better. Valet parking is annoying (they tried to use my automatic hatch opener while I had a bike rack blocking it. Not sure if that caused damage or not). If you choose to self park (recommended), it's a hike up a steep hill and it may be full as the parking lot is small and open to the public. They really need stairs/sidewalk from hotel to main street as you have to walk up the access road which is dangerous at night due to poor (non existent?) lighting. Use expedia to extend your stay or they will charge internet/resort fees. I used the expedia "secret deals" which gave me the cheapest rate. It also gave me the worst room in the hotel. Guess I shouldn't be surprised. However, I used the same thing in Vegas and got a great room on the 57th floor with an awesome view.

Great hotel with an amazing view

This hotel is just steps from great shopping and restaurants and yet nestled down by Oak Creek with an amazing view of Sedona's famous red rocks.

Beautiful views

We visited Sedona for one night and stayed at this resort. It was a great experience and we will be back for a longer stay next time. It is close to everything and has beautiful views. The pool and restaurant are great! We would recommend Amara to our close friends and family.

Excellent location! Stunning View!

Pros: Location and views.
Our experience was excellent. The location is wonderful--within walking distance of the main shopping area. Staff was very friendly and the view from the restaurant / pool area is absolutely breathtaking. There's a river just beyond the pools edge with a lovely walking path. Very, very peaceful to walk along the river or sit on the chairs along the river's path. While my décor preference is traditional elegance, the newly decorated "modern" décor was nice. Overall a great experience!
