To start, the resort property embedded in the red rocks and Boynton Canyon is STUNNING. This is what you are paying for. Staff overall are quite friendly and pleasant. Access to the hot tub and pickle ball/ping pong/ corn hole was all great but I have two main critiques that take away from my experience.
1) for the money paid, there is actually VERY LITTLE included in the package. Not one breakfast muffin not one smoothie, not one welcome cocktail. There were a couple of experiences available free (e.g., stargazing which lasts 10 minutes, meditation) but most classes/experiences have a cost. Dance, stretching, yoga- $35 per class. Cost for tours were exorbitant so you may want to consider the off-resort options.
We have spent time at other resorts and this one was the most bare bones AND then most expensive. It was hard not to feel nickel and dimed. But it was beautiful!
2) We made a few calls to the front, concierge, guest services and service took a very long time for some of these and some calls went unanswered or calls went unreturned if we left voicemail. Again, though the staff were quite friendly, the responsiveness did not match the amount paid
