“Very pleasant stay”

I reserved 2 rooms for 6 of us and we enjoyed our stay at the property very much. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable, and no bedbugs! The golf course view was beautiful and relaxing. The only negative feedback would be the loud shower. I would definitely go back and I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Area recommendations
We visited the beautiful red rocks of Sedona one day and the Grand Canyon the next day. There is so much to see and do and we never tire of visiting these sites. We go to Sedona at least twice a year, the Grand Canyon less often, mostly due to time constraints. If you love natural beauty, you can't beat these locations in AZ. Everyone should visit at least once. Visit the main street in Sedona on 89A for souvenirs and booking your jeep tours. Tlaquepaque has great shops and restaurants. Jeep tours are a fun way to experience Sedona. There are plenty of hiking and biking activities for novices and experts. Enlist the services of a personal or group guide to make your trip all the more interesting and fun. There are plenty of good restaurants especially off the main road in downtown Sedona. Venture into Oak Creek Canyon as well. You won't be disappointed. Sedona is an easy destination to enjoy without a lot of preplanning involved other than making sure you have a hotel reservation.
When to go
I would not go to the Grand Canyon during winter mainly due to the restrictions imposed by snowfall and resulting road conditions. You have many more options to enjoy the Canyon during the other seasons. Pay attention to the weather forecast and be prepared with plenty of water and proper attire for what you want to see and do. Sedona has a more temperate climate and can be enjoyed anytime of the year. I would steer clear of holidays involving three day weekends as it can get extremely crowded making car travel and getting a hotel difficult.
Getting around
When going to the Grand Canyon, take advantage of the free shuttle buses to the various lookout points. They make getting around to the different vantage points very easy and comfortable. There are many hiking paths along the rim as well if you are in shape to walk. And don't forget the Grand Canyon Railroad from Williams. It's a fun way to experience an old train ride to the Grand Canyon so you don't have to drive. You have plenty of time to enjoy the scenery before heading back to Williams. When going to Sedona, parking your car can be a challenge at times especially during a long weekend. There always seems to be parking available by the Chamber of Commerce and they are extremely helpful in assisting you to enjoy your stay. Bring your hiking shoes, bicycles, or take a jeep tour to see the beautiful red rocks.
What to pack
If you go, pay attention to the weather for a specific time of year. Wearing layers of clothes is best. so you can adjust to the warmer and/or cooler temps. Bring comfortable shoes, hat, and sun screen. Be prepared to carry lots of water if you hike.

“Much better than we expected!”

The online pictures didn't really do justice for this hotel. It's location was fantastic, the room was very comfortable, the front desk was helpful, friendly...everything you could want from service. We called ahead for late arrival and needed a port-a-crib. Everything was set up and ready for us. It was a great experience.

“Comfortable and pleasant but watch out for weddings going on!!!”

We stayed here for six great days. The room was comfortable with a lovely view over the golf course and ponds, with a small balcony, too. Room service was reasonably priced, very quick with a good choice - we also ate well in the restaurant. The concierge service was helpful, but there were several changes of staff - some seemed much more helpful, kind and knowledgable than others. We had a rental car, luckily, because the resort was a little too far from the centre of Sedona for easy walking. My main complaint was that at the weekend, weddings were going on in the grounds and the restaurant area, so our peace was shattered by loud dance music and we were more or less confined to our rooms...definitely a clash of interests. This is why I have given a low mark to 'surrounding neighbourhood' which on days without a wedding was lovely.

Area recommendations
Fantastic jeep tours - we went on the pink jeep to the scenic rim. Also the Palatki Cave ruins via Dry Creek Road, Oak Creek Canyon - in fact the whole area is stunning. A must for scenery addicts and geology freaks like myself!

“Nice Hotel but not close enough to town”

The hotel is an older hotel that is very well kept and quiet but several miles from downtown Sedona. Not great for those who like to enjoy a few drinks but nice for those who like to get away from the crowds. Overall, the room was very clean and spacious.

Must see
Check out the helicopter rides...Awesome views of Sedona and the surrounding rock formations!

“This hotel was good but the restaurant was not good.”

This hotel was very clean and comfortable but the restaurant, T Carl's wasn't good. I ordered "Red Rock Grilled Shrimp" which is described "two skewers of jumbo shrimp basted with scampi butter ..." but it wasn't jumbo size shrimp, rather it was small. The taste wasn't that bad, but if I pay $17 for dinner, I would go other restaurant. Although the servers were friendly and nice.
