Great place to stay in Sedona

Posted Mar 3, 2015
This resort is obviously older, but it has many nice remodeled features. The lobby and restaurant are very pleasing and the food was very good. Service in the restaurant was among the best I have ever experienced. The room was nicely decorated and two queen beds was a huge plus. The pool and hot tube were very adequate and the overall grounds were beautiful. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The location is well placed between Sedona and Oak Creek. I would definitely stay at this resort again.

Close to Uptown Sedona

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Location, price and scenery were great
Cons: upgrades needed as the hotel seems a little tired
Location: Sedona has everything you need if you are a nature lover! Good restaurants in Uptown Sedona.
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to direct us around the hotel & Sedona. We were treated to an upgraded jacuzzi suite with fireplace which was a nice touch! We were given excellent suggestions for excursions and scenic drives on our way to the Grand Canyon. The hotel rooms, although comfortable, were in need of an upgrade......carpeting, curtains, linens and cabinetry. The room was clean and comfortable for our purposes. The real show was outside the hotel.......scenery was unbeatable!!!

Nice Pet Friendly Room

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Pet Friendly
Cons: Turn the outdoor fountain off at night in the pet friendly room area.
Location: Location was close to shopping and hiking.
We had our dog with us and were allocated to the pet friendly room which gave us no indication that there had been previous pets there. Very clean and odor free. The room we had was too close to an outside fountain that could have been turned off for guests who are light sleepers. We had dinner in their restaurant and were disappointed in the food, so I wouldn't recommend it. The staff we encountered everywhere was excellent.

Pleasantly Surprised!

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Beautiful interior. Good location- not in a busy part of town.
Cons: The exterior could use a little face-lift.
Location: Close to shops and restaurants (its just down the street from Elote- yum!). Lots of hiking and beautiful views all around.
We took a chance and booked this hotel using the "unpublished rate" for the first time. What an excellent choice. We were a little nervous. The price we got was pretty low, and though the main lobby of the hotel was beautiful- the exterior of the building where our room was located looked outdated. But the interior of the room was fantastic! We were given a room with a jacuzzi (bonus!). The room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The amenities were nice. WiFi was free- this always scores points in my book. We ordered room service for breakfast, and it was delicious. Our entire experience at the Poco Diablo was positive. We will definitely look to return. Oh- great location too. :)

Enjoyable Weekend Getaway

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Location and Cleanliness
Cons: Complimentary coffee in the lobby.
Location: Shopping, dining, and outdoor activities (hiking, fishing Oak Creek, helicopter and jeep tours), great local museum
Great facility for that special weekend getaway. We had a room overlooking the golf course with views in the morning to warm the heart. My kids loved seeing the waterfowl playing in the ponds. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions in the Sedona and Oak Creek area. They also upgraded our room without any problem when we decided on a room with a balcony and fireplace. We had a great weekend. Thanks

Satisfied Customer

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Restaurant was very quiet. Perhaps low season - or maybe people ventured into town.
Location: Rooms are based around a golf course (hence the word Resort in the hotels names) - take your clubs ! They might even have clubs to hire!!
Nice hotel, seems more like a family run resort rather than a corporate hotel. Reception staff were both helpful and friendly. Booked via Expedia and got a free room upgrade at check in. Room was a good size, clean and nice.

The staff was professional and courteous. We were given a free upgrade with a room that had a beautiful view. It was convenient to all the trails, and included a massage. We were very pleased and are discussing going back in the future.
