Gem Find in Sedona!

Posted Jan 29, 2015
Pros: Location, Comfort, Privacy, the Views were amazing! I have been in Sedona a number of times and have never seen a view like this. Gorgeous.
Cons: Perhaps a bit of updating, I have noticed they have begun updating and will probably continue until complete. This is quite large, however deceiving.
Location: You are on top of a mountain, at the bottom make a right and head right to Sedona Town. Everything at your finger tips.
We have stayed in Sedona on several occasions, usually staying in the Sedona Rouge (beautiful), the Rouge is quite nice, spa etc., but with it is a huge price tag and now it is completely built up around the hotel. We migrated from Tucson on a whim and found this wonderful, private, comfortable, clean OUTSTANDING property! If you are looking for convenience in LOCATION and the sheer beauty of the red rock this IS THE PLACE! For a frame of reference, we had left the Ritz Carlton in Tucson and came to the Sky Ranch Hotel, the beds are more comfortable at the Sky Ranch, with everything literally at your finger tips. We will not stay anywhere else when in Sedona, we have found our home.

Always a good time

This is our second stay and the rooms have been upgraded since our last visit. They are much nicer than before the the entire ranch has been spruced up nicely. We will definitely be back.

Good price, clean, good ol' days feel.

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Location: A great view of Sedona, airport nearby, and the Airport Saddle vortex of course!
If you like clean, cozy and old fashioned - unchanged in looks since perhaps the 60s, but nevertheless well-kept. You can brew your coffee in the morning. There's a fridge, tv - what else do you need? Beautiful starlit sky, no light pollution.

Great view from nearby scenic point, not the hotel

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: The location of the hotel, overlooking the city, and the fact that it was dog friendly.
Cons: Sound proofing between rooms could be improved, as any talking in adjacent rooms could be clearly heard.
Location: The location atop a hill gives you access to an amazing view and the nearby Mesa Grill restaurant.
When I realized that this hotel was right by the Sedona airport, I wanted to switch hotels. But, to my delight, this was just a tiny airport mainly used by helicopters and small planes. We could hardly hear anything coming from the airport. The location of the hotel was amazing; atop a hill, overlooking the city. Amazing views from the nearby scenic point. The room was a bit small, but it was enough space for my girlfriend and I, and our small dog. The hotel apparently had a wine bar, but it was closed during our stay. We were able to purchase a bottle of wine from the front desk, though.

Best kept Sedona hotel experience.

Posted Jan 17, 2015
Pros: I liked that this was a wonderful Sedona ranch type experience and was not one of the big expensive chain hotels from every resort in the USA.
Cons: The room had coffee maker and microwave so we made breakfast if we wanted or went to Wildflower Bakery and try out their splendid morning choices.
Location: You go to Sedona for the magnificent views. Do that, hike, drive to each park view of the world's wonders. Don't go for t-shirts/badjewelry!
This is a great find right up Airport Road. You come past the airport overlook and there is Sky Ranch . Lodge. It feels like a ranch with comfortable rooms, great views of the rugged mesas and buttes...and that red color that changes with the sunrise and sunset. Rooms are large, beds are comfy and we felt we had our own mountain paradise. Try out the Mesa Grill 200 yds away at the airport. Food was excellent. We're coming back as soon as we can.

time for a make over

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: the location
Cons: the rooms and the public areas
Location: hiking and relaxing
I was in the hotel in the late 80s and remembered it as a fantastic place. The location is still great but some money should be put into renovation. It is not cheap and and besides a great view the hotel has to give something back.

Overlooking beautiful Sedona.

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: The desk person was very accommodating. The location wonderful.
Location: Everything imaginable and then some.
When we arrived the desk employee told us that they were having trouble with the water and that we might not have ample water for showers or toilet flushing. She said the last time this happened it was 10 pm at night. She offered us a refund. It was getting dark and rainy, so we said we would like to look at the room and check the water. The room was warm, comfy and welcoming. We had some water from the faucet, so we said we would stay and we had a very comfortable night. We asked for a restaurant recommendation, and she gave us an excellent suggestion. It is a beautiful location and we would like to stay there again in dry weather and for a longer period of time.

Panoramic View

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: Stunning views
There's panoramic views of Sedona all around the lodge. An "airport vortex" is a great place to see sunrise and sunset near the lodge
