Frequent Sedona visitor: won't stay here again!

Posted May 20, 2015
We reserved two rooms, one for my Mom and one for ourselves. My Mom's room smelled moldy. In our room, the in-house telephone didn't work...which was important for staying in touch with my 90-year old mother (she doesn't answer her cell). The phone was so messed up that it kept resetting itself all night long....cycling in and out of the "network", flashing lights...red, yellow, and then a bright white screen would light up the entire room.We didn't report phone issues to the front desk because we were only there for one night. The fitness center was abysmal, and the highway was very noisy even though we were away from the street. We've stayed in many Sedona hotels over the years, in many price ranges. We won't be back. There are too many other choices...

Pros: Rooms are large and very comfortable. Free parking, WiFi, and breakfast.
Cons: Office hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Too short for most hotels.
Location: Convenient to restaurants and a few miles from downtown area and shopping.
This is my second trip to Sedona and I stayed at the SW Inn several years ago. I came back to the same place due to my good experience before. I would recommend and stay there again.

Sedona

Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: The southwest feel with fireplace and music as you entered the room. Small and quaint. Robes to use while hot tubbing or swimming.
Cons: Clean the carpet and redo grout by bathroom sink. Road noise reduction?
Location: Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Hwy 89 is major thoroughfare that runs west out of town. Lots of hiking nearby.
Stayed here 5 years ago. Road noise was very noticeable. Room small with dirty carpet and loud air conditioner. Decent breakfast upstairs of office. Could hear room above us walking around.

Lovely large modern room and bathroom. Comfortable beds. Fireplace and air conditioner, flat screen T.V., private patio. Close to downtown Sedona. A very nice continental breakfast is included. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would stay there again.

Small and comfortable

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Small, convenient to most things in Sedona. Fireplace in room
Cons: Breakfast could be expanded a bit. Coming from Starbucks country, coffee was too weak for us.
Location: Hiking, shopping. Pink jeep tour (Broken Arrow) was fabulous!
Nice, clean western themed room. Motel type inn...in other words, park right by you room, go up a few stairs to your door. Room nicely decorated with beams, kiva type fireplace and western art. Internet seemed to work well. Would return.

Helpful staff, great views, room could use updates

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Southwest Inn had a nice location in west Sedona, slightly out of the traffic of Uptown. Staff was helpful and pleasant, rooms each had a gas fireplace which was nice. Breakfast was included and pretty decent. My only criticism was that some of the facilities were tired, the carpeting in rooms looked worn and had holes in it and outside wood trim needed a bit of paint, other than that it was a nice place.

Better than expected

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: The room!
Cons: Customer service - Need to advertise the manager's alternate phone number. I could not reach him to let them know I would be arriving late.
Location: Sedona has everything a person would want to enjoy.
Wish I could have had more time to enjoy the amenities. Beautiful room, great bed, nice front porch sitting area.
