An Affordable Slice of ParadisePosted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff; charming historic feel; bathtub; view of cathedral from my room; balcony/deck off the lounge; and most of all, location!
Cons: A soft mattress cover might make a world of difference.
Location: Explore, tour the cathedral and the palace, view the aqueduct, enjoy getting lost, drink wine and dine in the plaza, take photos or sketch.
The location of this hotel could not have been more perfect-- right in the center of a pedestrian-only section of this beautiful Medieval town. My room faced the other way-- not the main street, so I didn't have the problem with the noise that another reviewer had, and also, I wasn't there on a Saturday night. From my room, I could look out my window and see the cathedral all lit up. On the first floor, outside of the salon (lounge) was a balcony I enjoyed reading a book on for a few hours one afternoon. When I first arrived, I needed the staff's help to solve a problem (I hadn't been able to rent a car and arrived on train, so would not be able to make my next destination), and with my 2.5 years of high school Spanish from 27 years ago, and her little bit of English, she was able to help me cancel my next stop and extend my stay there. She really went above and beyond. My room was not fancy, but it had a bathtub, which I really appreciated. The bed was not comfortable, but not a form of torture either. For my budget, this hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Segovia has a gravel trail around the perimeter of town with a great view of the front of the palace, so bring your running shoes, or just walk it. Then, enjoy a glass of wine in the plaza (it's cheap and the tapas are free) while waiting for the outside of the cathedral to light up. Segovia's narrow streets are a fun maze to get lost in, and in evenings, live music from different outdoor tavernas fill the air.

Pleasant & HelpfulPosted Jul 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was perfectly located between the major sights. The hotel and the room were attractive and well maintained. The person at the desk was wonderfully patient and helpful, providing information, suggestions and directions. It was quiet at night, no smell of smoke, and good Wifi. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Just what I needed.Posted Oct 26, 2012
Cons: No mattress pads.
Location: Centrally located in the historical section of Segovia. It is in walking distance to all the attractions.
This is a little hotel with a great location in the historical section of Segovia. I was not in my room much during the day because I was out exploring. You can walk to all the attractions from here. The rooms are simple in decor and small but they are clean and the rates are great. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Especially the woman at the front desk. The Wii Fi worked in our room though the signal is not strong. I stayed there two different times during my trip and I would stay there again. My husband is traveling to Segovia next month and I will definitely recommend this hotel to him.

Great location but beware of Saturday nightsPosted Oct 29, 2011 on Hotels.com
We loved the location and the view but had a terrible experience with disco noise until 6am. The hotel tell us that this is unusual but I would want to be warned if i were booking.

Better than budgetPosted May 29, 2011
The hotel was - given the reasonable price - a pleasant surprise. The lobby and rooms were nicely presented, and the location is fantastic. The only negatives were (1) our bathroom did not smell 100% clean and (2) the WiFi simply does not work - after numerous trips to the front desk (where they speak no English at all), and repeated resets of the router, I eventually gave up.

Great Location, Good ValuePosted May 3, 2011 on Hotels.com
A little hard to find - if you drive, park at the bottom of the hill and walk up. Right in the middle of the town - shopping, historical - but quiet rooms. A big salon for relaxing. Surprisingly affordable. Highly recommend.
