Modern design and great view

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: Great views, restaurant
Cons: It was fine
Location: It is outside of town, so nothing really to do around the actual property. Quick cab ride gets you to beautiful Segovia
Stayed here and liked it very much. It is a modern design, so It differs from the more historic paradores. Great restaurant.

it was a unique experience to stay at a parador in spain. internet access was fast & the hotel is spacious & comfortable. We had a sumptous dinner at the restaurant. The only down side is that the hotel is far from city centre & can only be reached by cab.

Pros: Pool, terrace , restaurant, THE VIEW!
Cons: Nothing really
Location: 3km from city centre,so need a car or taxi..
Modern Parador 3 km outside Segovia, with views of the city to die for!Room very good, balcony with that view.Lovely outdoor pool & grassy terrace ,restaurant excellent, enjoy your meal on the outside terrace, with floodlit Segovia as a backdrop.Free parking as out of town.We cant wait to go back! Parking easy in city, street below Aqueduct.

Stunning view

We booked the Parador at the last minute for a two-night stay on our way from Madrid airport to Manteigas, Portugal. The location is incredible, atop a hill overlooking Segovia, with the cathedral and Alcazar in the distance, as well as the aqueduct (though that one is a bit tougher to see). Indoor pool is nice, although hours are very inconvenient, and the "gym" is a closet with broken equipment. We had a car and you'll need one to see the sights or you'll have to get a taxi. Segovia itself is wonderful and, overall, the Parador is a clean, safe option. Nothing beats the Parador in Sos del Rey Catolico, though!!!

Great views, decent lodging.

Pros: The views and the easy parking.
Cons: The inability to control our air conditioning.
Location: About 3 km from the aqueduct and city walls. An easy drive to the public parking at the aqueduct.
Beautiful view of Segovia. Nice welcome drink and cookies. Easy free outdoor parking. Wonderful indoor pool. Had trouble with the air conditioning...old fashioned thermostat that worked irregularly and needed replacement. Dinner was fairly priced and decent, but definitely not up to the 4* level of the hotel. The suckling pig was delicious, a pasta not very fresh. The lounge and bar areas were nice, but what is with free wifi only in the common areas? It is the 21st. century.

Great views of, but need auto/taxi to reach, Segov

The hotel was quite nice as was its restaurant (with one of the finest Spanish wines we've ever sampled). It has a wonderful view (from the east) of Segovia. However, it's about 2 miles distant from the tourist attractions of Segovia, so you'll need to drive or hire a taxi in the Spanish heat. The staff were fluent in English and quite helpful if one wanted to improve one's Spanish.
