People at the desk were friendly and helpful. Good location. Made dinner reservations and help d us with questions about parking and museum, and visiting other towns.

Excellent two day stay in Le Harvre
Excellent hotel in the centre of Le Harve. Clean, well equipped, quiet. very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be returning.

The incredible hospitality you receive at Hotel Carmin from the moment you step in the door is second to none. The property is well situated and whilst the rooms aren't huge they are well

Inexpensive hotel in Le Havre
Good for the price. Inflexible if you wanted to leave a day early. Person at the desk was cold originally but warmed up the day before we left. Quiet, clean room.

Great location, very helpful friendly staff
The hotel was perfectly located for everything: the ferry port, the beach, the main sights. We walked everywhere. The staff were very friendly and quite funny. They lent us info guides and took considerable time to explain how to find things and recommend sights. Breakfast was 'continental' (i.e. nothing was hot) but there was loads of choice and everything was good. The hotel was immaculate and extremely clean and well decorated. It felt new or recently refurbished. There was nothing not to like about this place.

Friendly small hotel
the owners spoke English and were terrific about giving directions to sites, recommending good restaurants and suggesting sites that were not to be missed. Above and beyond in service.

Given the low price point, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Great location right next to Les Halles, surprisingly spacious room, clean and nice. Interior of the hotel is very dated but has its charm.

Le Harve
After leaving Paris Le Harve was a wonderful quiet city. We were treated like royals at our hotel. The owners were perfect host. When we slept late, they kept cleaning staff on duty to clean our room which we felt very bad about. They even gave us some excellent ideas of places not on the normal Normandy tour. Their suggestions were wonderful. One of the owners attended school in the United States and he spoke excellent English. This was an excellent hotel. As Americans, they had ice. It was an wonderful experience.

Nice hotel in good area
Small well-run hotel with very friendly owners - has the feel of a boutique hotel or B&B. The nicely renovated rooms are very quiet - it felt like we were the only guests. Many good cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Would stay here again if we ever return to Le Havre.

Friendly bilingual owners.
Hotel only 10 mins walk from beach and 5 mins from beautiful park. Parking free in road outside after 5.30pm Sat and all day Sun. Owners very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Room large, clean and well-decorated. Good buffet breakfast.

Friendly and Charming Hotel
The owners are naturally friendly and clearly take great pride in everything about the hotel with the rooms spotless, a wonderful variety of fresh breakfast ingredients and helpful information on Le Havre for your stay. We were travelling as a 2 children and 2 adult family and had a family room on which we were emailed several days in advance to confirm the ages of our children and sizes of beds needed. Driving up from La Rochelle, and arriving tired and much later than anticipated, we had a friendly welcome with helpful advice as to where to leave the car overnight and get a late night bite to eat. The following morning before we caught the midday ferry we had a lovely breakfast and were given simple directions to find the Sunday market nearby and walk to the beach (just 10 minutes walk away)

Delightfully welcoming and hospitable stay
We enjoyed the hotel most of all for the always available good humoured help - way beyond the call of duty - of the hotels friendly staff. The hotel is conveniently situated, one can walk to almost everything. Breakfast included some of the best croissants on our whole French trip. Not grand but a pleasure.

As soon as we arrived we were made very welcome. Having read other reviews on this site, thought well if that many people say the same thing it must be ok. Don't get me wrong, its probably not the sort of hotel you would go to on your honeymoon. But It does what it says on the tin. Its clean, friendly and well situated near bars restaurants and shops.

Quiet and good location
We stayed here for 3 nights having come on the ferry as foot passengers.I believe there is a shuttle bus to the town centre but we just walked as it is only 30 minutes at most.Great staff and the hotel was clean + well maintained.A straight foward fairly basic hotel but that is reflected in the price.I was concerned about the large road we were on but had no noise issues during our stay despite leaving the window slightly open.Our room had double glazing with a large air gap + shutters. Good location between the town centre and beach area with some very good local restaurants.Didnt try the breakfasts.I would be happy to stay here again.

Small, but good, budget hotel
Hotel Carmin is a very basic, small hotel within walking distance of city centre and beach/marina areas. The service was friendly & pleasant, if somewhat limited due to language difficulties. My room (#36) on the top floor was very small, but comfortable and clean, with all amenities is good working order. The buffet breakfast matched the hotel; very small, but tasteful & sufficient. Overall, this was a nice hotel for the price range that I would recommend for other travellers on small budgets.

J'ai été appelé a 20h afin d'etre sur que je viendrais. Sûrement la crainte que je n'honore pas mon engagement. Je suis arrivée à 20h30 et j'ai réglé mes 3 nuits et les petit dej., sans faire attention à la note globale : J'ai payé 14€/petit déjeuner alors qu'il était noté 12,5€ sur leur site Internet. Ma prise en charge professionnelle est de 12€. Je pensais 1,5€ de ma poche.

Cet hôtel est une grosse déception. accueil fermé aux heures de check in, (attente sur le trottoir). Chambre propre mais hôtel vieillot. Un hôte professionnel odieux et irrespectueux. (contact téléphonique avec lui, suite à un fois de plus, son hôtel fermé alors que nous avions nos bagages à récupérer pour prendre notre train). Nous avions précisé le matin, l'horaire exact de notre venue pour les bagages. en fait, arrivée de l'agent de réception 35 minutes après).

Très bon séjour, hôtel moderne et calme, tous les services d'un hôtel de ville. Par ailleurs pratique avec un arrêt de bus (ligne 4) en face de l'hôtel direct de ou pour la gare.

chambre certes propre, mais petite. Petit déjeuner relativement copieux puisque c'est à volonté, mais il n'y avait plus de jus d'orange, et le chocolat chaud est à la machine, donc industriel au possible très sucré. Petit bémol aussi, pour les fumeurs aucun endroit ne leur est prévu si ce n'est que sur le trottoir. Sinon pour une nuit c'est correct.

Personnel at the reception was kind and helpful. The room was too tiny for 3 people, without air conditioning and with a very small bathroom. The overall housekeeping was quite poor (there was an used towel from the former guests that wasn’t removed by the staff). The price was too high compared to what we had.
