Really good value
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: The location was ideal. Close to the centre but easy to get onto the main routes.
Cons: The room, for wheel chair access was a bit tired and not as good as the room I had been given a couple of weeks earlier
Location: Excellent. very close to the city centre and restaurants, and to main through routes.
The hotel was very convenient for the city centre, was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and the price was extremely competitive. Not a fantastic hotel but extremely good value

better to be staying overnight in Rouen only
Posted Jan 26, 2012
Pros: parking available and free
Cons: breakfast
Location: central and convenient
The accommodation was probably OK for the price but the breakfast was really unacceptable. Coffee machine broken, nothing really appetising and on the same trip got a much better breakfast for half the price at another hotel.

recent stay from a north amarican point of view

Overall, wasn't bad. Internet and air conditioning was good. Traffic noise was really good for a room on the main street, had no problem sleeping. We found the pillows thin, but we managed for 3 nights. We were also French speaking, so we found the tv channels to be good for us but English speaking people might find it hard (its France after all). We found that the menu prices were good, but enjoyed getting food at the local market area near at a good bang for the Euro (look for "le vieux marche" on the map). We walked from the trains to the hotel, and found that it took between 10-15 min.

Good value and modern clean room.
Posted Jan 25, 2012
Pros: Room and friendly staff
Cons: Location as not many coffee shops in area had to walk a bit to get to shops.
Location: I thought we would be closer to the centre. On a main road but you don't hear traffic in your room. 15 min walk to centre.
Receptionist and chambermaid were really friendly and even helped us book another hotel in paris where we were staying next. Room was good value and good size for family with double bed and single bed so fine for the 3 of us. About a 15minute walk to the centre and not alot around so that was a bit disappointing but for the price this was ok and could walk into the centre without needing a bus. The hotel was a bit like a travel lodge so was ideal for a 2 day stay in Rouen. Really nice city.

good position though renovating at present

Pros: Position
In the midst of renovation and car park cramped access as a a result. Problem with their a/c but staff helpful in finding OK rooms. Great position 5 minutes walk from Rouen old centre.

Perfect for a visit to Rouen

We have stayed in Rouen many times and this was the easiest hotel to access, park and travel on from so far. It is a short and easy walk to the bustling old market square and great restaurants ( Give Chez Pepe et Fils a try with kids). Our room was for a family of 3 and we had plenty of space and a good breakfast. We'll happily stay again and for longer

Great Place for a Stop-over
Posted Jan 24, 2012
Location: Not the most salubrious location, situated by the main route through Rouen and the Seine, but easy to find and get to.
Very welcoming to our party of 5, made excellent suggestions on where to eat and provided us with a map to get from the hotel to the City Centre. Room very comfy and once we'd worked out how to use the Air conditioning nice and cool too.

Ok stay

I booked 2 rooms for a one night stopover. I had to ask to be moved from one of the rooms as the bed linen had not been changed or the bath bee cleaned from previous occupants. Everything else about the hotel was lovely. The other rooms were fine and the breakfast buffet was ample.
