Ferry stop-over
Easy to find, good parking, convenient for Dieppe ferry. Clean room, nice hot shower. We found the very flat square pillows a little uncomfortable for sleeping but other than that very nice stay. We’ll return when we next travel to UK.The proprietress was very helpful and friendly.

Great Little Find.......
Friendly welcome from the host. The hotel is a short drive into Dieppe where there are numerous restaurants also a five minute drive to the ferry port. The room and en-suite bathroom were both clean and comfortable and had clearly recently been tastefully re-furbished. An ideal stopover for any all the family. Great little hotel and would recommend to anyone.

A great find!
Staff very helpful- they moved their cars to accommodate our trailer! Great garden to chill out in and the breakfast option was great. Superb location and great accommodation. Our daughter loved the chalet accommodation in the garden! We will definitely be booking next time we are in the area.

Disappointed
Followed a trail of cigarette smoke when shown to our room on arrival. Bedding was covered in cat hair. LInen did not smell fresh. Had to use our own towels as they smelt terrible as though left in washing machine for too long. One towel also smelt of cigarette smoke as well. A very poor experience overall. Plus side: staff were friendly and plenty of parking.

Excellent Dieppe stopover
An excellent stopover on our way back from family holiday via Dieppe. The owner was very helpful, providing us with everything we could have needed, including a variety of equipment for our 6 month old and phoning up to order us a pizza. We loved the sunny area at the back of the hotel to relax in and enjoyed breakfast in the morning. We will stay here again if we are on this route in the future.

Great value hotel
Le Clos Robinson is a charming small hotel just outside Dieppe, about 25 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bike from the town centre. It's good value for the price - basic, but you wouldn't expect any more for this money. The rooms are nicely decorated, perfectly comfortable and warm, there is a secure area for bikes, car parking and a nice outdoor space to sit on a summer evening. The staff are lovely and could not be more helpful. The road is quiet and there is a supermarket, a pharmacy and a boulangerie within a minute's walk. If you're planning to to the Avenue Verte by bike this would be the perfect stopover in Dieppe on your first night before starting - the top of the Avenue is only 4 miles away on a quiet D road. It is also a nice hotel in its own right and a perfect base for exploring Seine-Maritime.

A little gem
Just a one night stay but I was happily surprised by the quality of my room in this budget hotel. The double bed was so comfortable although the single (3rd person) bed was hard. The bathroom was small but ok and good quality, the shower was good with lots of hot water. The decor definitely had a woman's touch and the room even had a diffuser! I used it for the Dieppe ferry and I will stay there again. A little gem.

Close to the ferry port
I booked this because we wanted something different to the normal type of motel and it definitely has character. Unfortunately a booking error meant we didn't get the double room we expected and ended up with two single beds and a set of bunk beds, but the room was clean and bright, unfortunately it was also cold in the middle of the night. The location is ideal for the ferry port.

Hotel on the Battlefield of Waterloo
This is the perfect hotel for you if you are looking to do all things 'The Battle of Waterloo', which we were. It was a nice touch that all the rooms are named after Officers in the battle. Our room over looked the battlefield, as does the breakfast/dining room. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. If you were wanting to stay in Waterloo, but not interested in the battlefield, then you could probably find cheaper in the centre of Waterloo

Cheap and cheerful
We stayed here over night before our return ferry. It was lovely and quiet the staff were really friendly. The 5 euros breakfast was huge and served till eleven, which meant we coul have a bit of a rest before our onward journey. the hypermarket next door was a bonus to spend the last of our euros in wine too.

Great for overnight stop!
We chose this hotel as it was close to ferry port and had a room for 5. The room was clean and functional with a very small bathroom but for the price it was all we needed for an overnight stay. The owner was helpful and friendly, spoke a little English and didn't mind us turning up very late after our crossing.

A pleasant stop over
Appeared not to be anywhere but on arrival quickly changed opinion. Right next door after a quick warm welcome was a giant supermarket with food clothing motoring needs fuel and a host more. A suitable dinner was purchased including fresh prawns cheese and fruit which was consumed in the hotels neat rear gardens as did most guests. I asked for a ground floor room with parking for one motorcycle well not only was it a lovely setout ground unit but my motorcycle was parked outside the room. The owner is also a motorcyclists so was fully understanding of the request. Breakfast was continental over an extended time and adequate. The hotel also has easy access to and from the main motorway on the area. It appears small from the outside but is deceiving as all rooms are adequate in size and the gardens freely available to guests.

Absolute gem of a find
Despite being late to arrive we received a warm welcome, greater by good English spoken which was so helpful after a long day travelling. Very relaxed, very welcoming and very flexible to our needs of a late arrival and extremely early departure. They provided a map, directions and a short cut for the ferry port just 10 minutes away (maximum). The room was a good size with a small but adequate bathroom but beautifully decorated with looks of nice touches, comfortable bed etc. Bar was small, relaxed and reasonably priced. Beautiful courtyard and 2 chairs so we could sit outside our room if required. The dogs were very welcome and we would very highly recommend this for a stop in Dieppe. Our only disappointment wasn't that we weren't there long enjoy to fully take advantage of this lovely little place.

A friendly family-run place, but needs updating
Le Clos Robinson is a cute little family-run hotel, the traditional type of inn with a pub in the front and rooms in the rear. We stayed in a family room with a double (queen?), a single twin, and twin bunk beds (i.e. good for 2 adults and 3 children). Unfortunately, we found the bunkbed to be a little rickety so we didn't trust the top bunk. Similarly, there was a broken slat on the lower rendering it very uncomfortable even for a 7-year-old. Basically, the entire room was in need of updating, although we cannot say if this was general for the rest of the hotel. It's too bad, because the location, the owners, and the breakfast (separate charge, but cheaper than you'd expect for what you got) were all very good. They have a deal for people catching the afternoon ferry where they don't charge for a late check-out, if that's why you're in Dieppe, so that's a nice touch as well. Also, for a family-run business they were unusually accomodating for late check-in, I assume because they are running the pub anyways, so they are going to be up.

Dieppe trip October 2014
The hoteliers were very hospitable and very friendly and helpful, invaluable local knowledge helped us to find excellent restaurants and places to visit. The hotel had a nice family atmosphere. The room was clean, well decorated and nicely maintained. Great shower. Breakfast was a mixture of brioche rolls, french sticks, krisprolls and croissants with jam and honey. The bed was somewhat firm compared to UK beds. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at Clos Robinson and would return Nothing at all to do with hotel but I would like to warn fellow UK travellers to check when ordering an irish coffee if it is with double cream or creme fraiche, we got caught out with creme fraiche which was somewhat of a shock as it curdled and was sour

Good for a night stop
We stayed for one night, after a vacation in Brittany area. This hotel was somewhere in between our vacation site and Calais, So we stayed there to split our journey back home to the UK, to make it easier to the kids. The only reason we took this specific hotel is because they offer family rooms. For somewhere to stop and sleep it was OK, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a long stay. The staff was helpful in general, but they speak no English which made the communications hard. The room was clean, but interior was quite old and not very comfortable. The room was very dark, partly because the window was tiny and also because the curtain was broken. Still it was good enough for a single night.
