The front desk and restaurant staff were wonderful! Breakfast buffet and restaurant food very good. Pool and deck nice. The room was somewhat run down. Mosque sounds loud at 4am. I tried to book a meeting room and catered lunch for 25 people for two full days, corresponding weeks in advance, and was told yes, but never given a chance to pay. Then my meeting room booking was cancelled the day before with no explanation. Very frustrating. I also booked nonsmoking double rooms for 17 people and some of the rooms offered were queen beds in smoking room. My colleague could not breathe in the smoking room and asked to be moved but was told the hotel was full. The staff "cleaned"the room again but the shell if she was still sickening. She called the desk again at midnight threatening to leave and they finally moved her to a non smoking room. I would recommend Quest before the game for money is really good, but be prepared for challenges.

Appreciate for the staff.
Very appreciate for the hotel staff, especially for the housekeeping team. In this vacation, my second daughter got sick and vomitted so many times. They are really helpful and kind.

Actually I don't know what happened with my booking but I'm not stay in this hotel for this booking number. The hotel's staff said my booking was cancelled by Hotel.com. When I checked actually the number booking was cancelled isn't same with my this number booking to stay. And I also not received cancelation email for this booking. I want to call Hotel.com but the number was busy. Lucky me, I choose to pay at the property so it isn't charge to my credit card number.

Good reasonably priced hotel.
A good reasonably priced hotel. Fast and efficient check in and out with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and big enough for our needs. Our bedsheets could have done with better cleaning though but overall im happy with the room. Hotel has a nice near roof top pool and our room was facing the pool. Few places to eat outside hence we didn't bother with hotel food.

Poor service started at the front desk. Request prior to arrival for a quiet and non smoking room was ignored upon check in. Was told there were no rooms left on the non smoking floor. I raised this as an issue and they very quickly found a room. The beddings were dirty and stained. The bath towels were more grey in colour than white. They also had extremely loud music playing at 7am on Saturday with some so called exercise class for their staff. No idea why it had to be done at 7am when you have paid guests staying. There are better hotels in Semarang for sure.

It's a breeze stay!
Check in is a breeze. Breakfast is good. Clean room, can be better if they have more soap/shampoo but we asked the housekeeping and they were easy to talk with. Good place to stay!

Very near Chinatown. Not near to city centre
We have a pick up from the airport. You can take the Blue Bird taxi also and is cheaper than those touting outside the airport. Remember to buy the taxi ticket at the airport. Those people touting for passengers will cut throat you Staff friendly, room quite big and comfortable. Breakfast good with variety. For the price we pay not much complain. Only setback the shopping are Not so near and you need to take a cab or becak but not expensive. Outside hotel many make shift stalls selling their local delicacy and reasonable price. There is a small supermarket just opposite the hotel. Overall exceptable.

My stay at the Quest Hotel was just what I expected, comfortable with no hidden surprises. It very convenient to the central area of Semarang and I enjoyed walking around the area because of China Town being in the area. My only complaint would be the hotel could provide better choices for breakfast, like more selections for their Western Clients.

Our daughter left her tablet and headphone in the lobby during check in. We only realised at midnight, lucky the security kept it. Nice pool but some of the tiles came off. Walking distance to China town for nice food.

Our 5th stay in 3 years.
My wife and I were at Quest Hotel for 12 days. This was our 5th stay in 3 years. For Semarang it is the best value with clean comfortable rooms, exceptional friendly service, good location for being in the main part of the city, and a good start of the day breakfast. The best rooms are the 5th and 6th floor poolside. If you want to experience the center of downtown Semarang and be near the malls, Chinatown area, and the traditional markets this is the place.

The hotel is excellent for food exploration. The location is near to the many locals-approved good food and foodies area plus the breakfast spread is fantastic. While the hotel is comfortable for stay, the room was not maintained well. The safes were not working, the aircon were not cold, the amenities were not replenished completely, the shower was faulty, the wifi has to be re-logged in every day. The hotel location is just beside a mosque and the prayer at dawn might not a favour for those who are light sleeper. Otherwise it was a great stay with the hotel staff so friendly and helpful.

nice family hotel .Basic with value for money.Breakfast is basic but includes Jamu. Enjoyed javanese massage and aromatuc accupressure massage after coming back from tour. Services till midnight...so was quite good for me as i come back to hotel between 9 to 10pm after tour. Hotel arrange free airport pick up but charged 60,000rp for send off to airport. Toilet stinks at room629 but not room 625. Hotel should improve sewage systems so that toilet dont stink.

The breakfast is good; and location is quite strategic. It is near to Simpang Lima but quiet enough from the city crowded. The fact that the hotel is still new is another plus. They even have swimming pool too. It is really good value for the price I paid.

Our second stay
This was my 2nd stay at Quest. My wife and I were there for 45 days. Located near Chinatown section of Semarang and very close to town center where the malls and some good restaurants are near. I enjoyed the pool, the breakfast each day, the staff were friendly and overall fantastic, and the daily rates were exceptional. The flatscreen TV had several english channels. YES, we will be back.

Mostly I enjoy in Quest Hotel Semarang. It is one of place that I would like to stay for business trip or leisure trip. I've tried some of other hotels, but in my opinion this one is suit to me well.

my extended stay
I stayed at Quest for 19 days. The staff were great, the hotel was nice and clean and very well kept. I enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was excellent. They will make eggs any way you want. The only negative issues was the shower water pressure changes and the hot and cold will not stay constant. The hotel is next to a school and you will hear the school noises during the day. Of course will all of Indonesia you will hear the call to prayer over the loudspeakers at 4am. It takes time to get used to it. I would stay at Quest again, the rates are terrific. The hotel is very nice. We enjoyed the room.
