Off season stay

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: Location, good parking, excellent restaurant and bar attached. Decent amenities.
Cons: Possibly upgrade baths. They seem a bit tired,
Location: Right on the lake. Our favorite part is all the amazing wineries close by, which we enjoyed.
We arrived just after Christmas. We were a bit early(1:30 PM), but had no trouble checking in early . There is a nice restaurant attached to the hotel. We did not eat there, but it looked good. We had arranged to meet a friend who lives in town elsewhere for dinner. The bar is terrific. Great tap selection including local brews, and some decent wine selections too. They had live music the night we were there, and it was great. The hotel is in a great location on the lake, but being winter, we weren't able to appreciate it. The hotel itself is in good condition. The rooms are fine and clean. For the money its decent. It's not 4- yo 5 star, but a decent 3.5 to me.

Excellent service

Posted Dec 1, 2014
I found that the service during my stay was excellent. My expectations were exceeded at every turn. The room itself was underwhelming. I booked an executive king suite, which turned out to be just one room, and a rather small one at that. But it had a lovely lake view and the fantastic service easily made up for it. I was given a coupon at check in for free meals for my 11 year old for the duration of our stay. The food was excellent and when my daughter spilled her soda, the waitress cheerfully cleaned it all up, replaced the tablecloth with a fresh one, and brought my daughter another (complimentary) drink. When I asked for a late check-out, I was offered 2 hours rather than the standard 1. Everywhere we found the staff to be helpful, polite, and professional. I will definitely return again next year!

Week - end getaway with friends

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: Location and view
Cons: Updating the interior/furniture/bathroom
Location: Winery's , of course! And the amazing dinner at Emiles.
We were upgraded upon arrival due to a maintenance issue at no additional charge. That was a nice surprise, however our mini suite had mold in the bathroom and a phone behind the toilet which was weird. The bar had a wonderful 3 piece band in the evening with good NY state beers. Breakfast was just okay.

Convenient, clean hotel with nice lakeside view

Posted Oct 30, 2014
Quick and efficient check-in and check-out. The tastefully appointed room was clean, quiet, and had a nice view of the lake. The chocolate covered mints on the reading table were a nice touch. Access, right off 5&20, was great.
