“Nice hotel for great price”
My roommate and I took a short trip to Seoul a few weekends ago and found it hard to find a nice hotel for a good price. Then, we stumbled upon the Astoria hotel and decided to give it a try. Our room was excellent (much better than what we expected from our previous Korean hotel experiences). The price was excellent and it was in a great location! We recommend this hotel for people on a budget who don't want to sacrifice their comfort.
“Charming, smiling personnel”
The Astoria is a small but extremely friendly hotel. The staff are smiling and welcoming and ever ready to help with directions and suggestions. A very enjoyable stay and I will certainly stay at the Astoria when I am next in Seoul.
“Not bad for a short say!”
I stayed for just one night and was quite impressed. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the TV worked fine. For those who are very particular about hotels, this one is a bit dated. It's been around since 1959 and has been refurbished within the past 15 years...I think. My room had a working fridge with complimentary waters, juice, cold latte and a danish. Just enough to get you through to the morning. Like I said, it's dated, but it was a very nice, clean place to stay and the staff was very professional. I'd stay here again.
“Friendly, affordable, clean, a great stay!”
The hotel is located within a block of the limousine bus stop from the airport. While the restaurant was closed during my stay, the hotel is located VERY near Myongdong where there are MANY restaurants and shops. Free shuttle bus to to Seoul Station in the morning was just a wonderful finishing touch to this great find. I highly recommend this hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful and spoke wonderful English. There was a complimentary map of Seoul in the room that was very helpful. The room was a little small, but comfortable.

I had arrived at the train station around midnight and was tired to retire myself for the evening. Once upon arrival, the check in process was succinct and without a hassle. The staff was friendly and inviting, although they did not provide me with all the toiletries I would expect, but then it was a cost friendly hotel so the expectation was not as high as some of the high end hotels im used to staying in. Overall, it was great, not fantastic, but it was great value for the money.
