This hotel is small compaired weth sume but starf were helpfull and kind some problems with speaking english but we got their . it is convint walk from airport shutle bus stop . small shop for all your needs nearbuy also close by is bus stop for hop on hop bus grate for sight seeing.

“Nice hotel for great price”

My roommate and I took a short trip to Seoul a few weekends ago and found it hard to find a nice hotel for a good price. Then, we stumbled upon the Astoria hotel and decided to give it a try. Our room was excellent (much better than what we expected from our previous Korean hotel experiences). The price was excellent and it was in a great location! We recommend this hotel for people on a budget who don't want to sacrifice their comfort.

“comfortable stay at astoria”

stayed in astoria, seoul for 5 days . hotel is clean, well maintained and the staff were extremely helpful. located near the chingmuro subway and it was easy to go around the city from the hotel. very near to the folk village and meyondong shopping area. easy to reach from the airport with 6015 limosine buses whic stops near sejong hotel, from where it is a walkable distance to astoria. there is a bakery near astoria which satisfied our breakfast. currency exchange near astoria was better than at the airport. stay in astoria and visit meyongdong shopping area which is a must visit for any newcomer to seoul. astoria provides free breakfast only on saturday, sunday & monday. kettel was provided in the room. overall it is worth staying there for the price and comfort.

“I loved it!”

The hotel was really clean and had very friendly service! I didn't have any trouble with English language and it was close to the "hip" shopping district as well as very VERY close (less than 5 minute walk) from a metro station that had a transfer for 2 of the Seoul metro lines. About the only thing was it got really HOT in our room at night but maybe we just couldn't figure out the temperature controls. I would totally reccomend this to anyone going to Seoul for a vacation. They also provide you with a map of the area and services and resturants that are close to the hotel in your room.

The Astoria is a small but extremely friendly hotel. The staff are smiling and welcoming and ever ready to help with directions and suggestions. A very enjoyable stay and I will certainly stay at the Astoria when I am next in Seoul.

“Not bad for a short say!”

I stayed for just one night and was quite impressed. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the TV worked fine. For those who are very particular about hotels, this one is a bit dated. It's been around since 1959 and has been refurbished within the past 15 years...I think. My room had a working fridge with complimentary waters, juice, cold latte and a danish. Just enough to get you through to the morning. Like I said, it's dated, but it was a very nice, clean place to stay and the staff was very professional. I'd stay here again.

“Friendly, affordable, clean, a great stay!”

The hotel is located within a block of the limousine bus stop from the airport. While the restaurant was closed during my stay, the hotel is located VERY near Myongdong where there are MANY restaurants and shops. Free shuttle bus to to Seoul Station in the morning was just a wonderful finishing touch to this great find. I highly recommend this hotel!
