Best value

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Centrally located to all the places we want to go.
Cons: Replace bath towel, they are worn out. The receptionist I checked in with, could be a little more pleasant, no smile at all, very stiff.
Location: 15 minutes walk to Myeongdong and Namdaemun market, 4 blocks from Kwangjun market and 20 minutes walk to Dongdaemun and Seoul Towel on Mt Namsan.
Clean and comfortable. Concierges and door man are very helpful.

Terrible Staff

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staff attitude, Front Desk and Cocierge
Location: The hotel is located in the middle of lighting store district.
I booked two rooms and a month before I arrived, I had called and emailed the hotel and requested non smoking, connecting or next to each other rooms. I had received a confirmation email that the hotel would give the room next to each other. When we arrived at the hotel it was raining heavily and the hotel concierge did not bring any umbrella for us and let us get wet. I asked the concierge about local map and he could only give me a copy map. We arrived at the hotel around 11 am, a male reception told me that check in time was 2 pm. I told him that I need next to each other room, because I traveled with small kids. He told me he could only give me the room at 2 pm base on availability. I insisted on the room and showed him the confirmation email and he finally confirm that he would provide me the requested room after a long debate. When I came back around 3 pm , they gave next to each other rooms but one of the room smell cigarette smoke. I complained and all they could do only bring spray deodorizer. I felt like going to a military camp, the hotel staff never smile and care about how the guest feel. All the staff did not have any expression at all. After 3 night stay I left for Busan and initially I book another 2 nights at this hotel. Since no one in the hotel care about the guest, I cancelled and move to Lotte Hotel, which has a great service since the time I arrive at the hotel front door.

Okay but no AC

Posted May 28, 2014
Location, staff and breakfast all fine. However AC not working and calls to the front could not resolve nor get another room. Luckily not very hot yet, but would hate to be trapped there in Summer!

Clean and spacious

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Free shuttle spaces to shopping areas myengdong and dongdenum. Clean and spacious rooms, furnishing in good condition.
Cons: Amenities such as toothbrush not included.
Location: Not much to see around the vicinity of the hotel, mostly lighting shops. However it is close enough to the shopping areas.
Not walkable to myengdong but quite near if public transport is taken. Clean and spacious rooms, and furnishing were in good condition.

The hotel is well positioned to the subway. Restaurants are very few close to the hotel but numerous within walking distance. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Airport bus stops right out front of the hotel which is an added plus.

nice hotel, boring neighbourhood

very nice hotel, 10 minute walk to Myeong-dong (bustling shopping district). walking distance (a bit far though) to main attractions. 2 min walk to Line 2 tube station. very boring and noisy neighbourhood (DIY lighting shops and printing workshops). for good for late night dinning.

Nice hotel near the subway

This hotel seems to be well known by the taxi drivers, we gets there easily. The lobby is on the second floor. The elevator is operated by using the key card. The room is nice and clean.
