Nice, comfortable hotel in Gang-Nam Area
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: Free Wi-Fi access. All the staffs speak English or Japanese. Most taxi drivers know this hotel.
Cons: This is not the hotel's fault, but it would be much more convenient for me if there was direct bus service from Gimpo Airport.
Location: It takes about 5 minutes walk from the nearest subway station. Could be a little far on a rainy day or when you have a big luggage.
The room was clean and more spacious than I expected. Free wi-fi access helped me a lot to search for information while my stay. If you come from Gimpo Airport, taxi will be the best choice. This hotel locates at Cheong-Dam, but there was no bus which goes directly to Cheong-Dam from Gimpo Airport. Incheon Airport has bus service to Cheong-Dam. The nearest subway station is Cheong-Dam of line #7. It takes about 5 minutes walk to/ from the hotel.

Interesting hotel!
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: Airport bus stop across the street very very convenient!
Cons: There were slippers provided for in the room, but they were not disposable, but hopefully clean... I wish they would give the disposable slippers.
Location: Too busy to spend much time in the neighborhood, but coffee was close and COEX walkable distance. Overall there was enough to see, was clean and safe
Very interesting hotel for first trip to Korea! Quiet neighborhood. Gift, snack, and coffee shop combo in the lobby, gifts and coffee were overpriced but snacks were reasonable. Approx 20-30 minute walk to the COEX shopping center. Seemed to be a very safe neighborhood. Coffee shop around the corner was very convenient for breakfast. Other restaurants nearby were all good too. Everything in Seoul is extremely expensive!!!

To improve on food items
Posted Jan 19, 2013
Pros: Wifi and TV
Cons: Food
The quality of break fast is very ordinary for the price they charge. Not much variety nor very tasteful. Also when enquired about an Indian restaurant, the front office person said there is no such one in nearby area whereas i googled and found at least 3 within 2km radius. otherwise, no major issue in the hotel and nothing much also great to write about.

it was ok

Pros: Had everything i needed, decent buffet, gym, and next to a convienent store for cheaper items to purchase.
Cons: 24 hour gym,
Location: location was near my work, it was very convienent.
The room wasn't old but not Modern. The gym wasn't 24 hours, which was a real negative when you haven't adapted to the time change.

Riviera Hotel Mar13
Posted Jan 20, 2013
Overall facilities are good, like the choice of buffet or a la carte dining in The Color restaurant on L1. However, breakfasts are pricey if you don't have this included in your rate. Only 5-6mins walk to Cheongdam subay station so good access to the city and wider Seoul.

You can not find a better hotel.

Very good enough to stay for business trip. You can find a better hotel than Hotel Riviera if you pay much more. If not, this hotel will be the best hotel in that area. I was very satisfied for 7 nights. Highly recommand.

Never have to leave the hotel
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Pros: It was winter time so the heater toilet seats were a huge bonus!
Cons: The price of drinks was outrageous!
Location: The location was ok, we never left the hotel, so I can't comment too much on that.
The hotel was great. We were only there for a nice "get-away" and it was just what we needed. We never had to leave the hotel. We had massages, good food, wine, and at night we went up to the lounge for drinks. Room service in the morning was very prompt and tasty. The only thing that was a bit ridiculous was the prices of the drinks in the restaurant. A coffee was more than a plate of food. Seemed very strange to us so we just drank water. Otherwise it was very nice.

Great value in Seoul
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Pros: The spa facilities are 5 Star
Cons: Restaurant Dining is something to give amiss
Location: Great location
This hotel is simply great value in comparison to other alternatives in Seoul . Its well located for businessmen with local places to eat and entertain and sufficiently 'grand' for meeting business associates. Rooms are well equipped and maintained ,though its not a new place and is not a sparkling palace so to speak . Best extra bits are the Gym spa and pool facilities , there are really 5 star in my view . The low points are maybe the restaurants , which at my stay were not well frequented when I was there and at $10 for a filter coffee I am not surprised Hence my advice is : stay here , use the facilities, and eat out
