“Modern and sophisticated hotel”
It is a very modern clean hotel, reminds me of a stylish apartment in NY where I am from. I stayed for 4 days and loved the service, staff speaks English, there is free internet in lobby and the rooms are great. Bed is comfortable flat screen TV great shower. Love the laundry room on the 4 floor where you can clean and iron your clothes all at your convenience for a good price. Very convenient with the metro right underneath the hotel you don't even have to walk outside. The only downside is the location isn't so lively if your a tourist, its a quiet residential place with not much around. Overall great hotel and very safe, it was me and my little sister in this trip and we were very comfortable the entire time.
“Excellent for business and leisure.”
Hotel was wondeful. Staff very helpful-located directly above the metro so easy to get around the city. Nice gym and pool!
“Great Hotel for Solo Female Business Traveler”
Traveling solo for business and a bit of sightseeing, I found hotel well located (connected to Gongdeok subway stop; plaza with grocery store & casual restaurants/cafes below hotel). Room was on the smaller side compared to typical urban hotels in US, but bathroom was palatial! All very new and super clean. Good workspace in room, comfortable bed. Terrific in-room amenities for the price, great little gym in hotel, and swimming pool was EXACTLY as gorgeous and clean as it looks in the online picture (though for a serious lap swimmer, it was pretty warm - good for relaxing more than working out). They even supply workout clothes (I had my own). Coin laundry very handy as I had another week of travel afterwards - had TV and fresh daily papers (English & Korean) in laundry room. As a woman traveling alone, I felt completely safe in hotel, neighborhood, and subway. If your plane is arriving early enough, feel comfortable to take the airport limo bus - I arrived later and took an expensive (but clean and safe) taxi. I took the bus on the return (buy ticket at hotel desk) and it was efficient, speedy, and much less expensive. Would definitely stay here again if traveling for work to Seoul. If traveling only to vacation, would look for a place near royal palace or in one of the funkier neighborhoods with more local restaurants - Gongdeok area is mainly residential and businesses - perfect for my needs, but maybe not as good for someone looking for more "authentic" Seoul experience.
“Impressed”
I was, initially, surprised at the quality of the hotel since I didn't expect to book a high class hotel. This Lotte city hotel in Mapo is a gold tinted/colored twin hotel attached to its long term rentals, and I'd make sure the taxi driver is aware of this new campus of Lotte hotel chain. My attraction to the hotel, before actually seeing it, was its convenient location to the subway system (a subway station is located below the hotel), its own grocery store, and restaurants. One of the new noodle shops within the hotel's grocery store was great. Mapo is a business district and I could easily walk to one of the beautiful Han river bridges that has a bike trail below/side of the bridge. Although I had to mention to the front desk about overly eager housekeepers that do not always respect the "do not disturb" sign and clean up the room anyway, the hotel staff were generally very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay at Lotte city hotel in Mapo again.
“Comfortable and Covenient”
Although room was on the small side, it was very well appointed, bathroom facities were very good. great to have an excellent spa and inviting pool when one has time for relaxation. Very easy access to subway make it a desirable place to stay. Would definitely return when and if I next visit Seoul.
“Excellent location, great price, convenient to transportation.”
The Lotte City is a business hotel, convenient to downtown, the subway, trains and airport transportation. Excellent price and location - do not expect a fancy lobby or visitor amenities in the common areas. Our room was well designed, stylish and organized - the room size was very appropriate for a city hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful. I do not hesitate to recommend the hotel or to stay there again.
“Very nice brand new hotel in Seoul!”
I stayed in this hotel for two nights and really enjoyed this brand new hotel. Everything is very clean and the room has all what you need, including a great view of Seoul! Very good breakfast and dinner but no room service available. The room is a bit small, but bathroom is a good size with both tub and shower. Highly recommended place to stay and good price for the quality.
“Excellent New Hotel...Definitely will return”
Not to be confused by the other more expensive Lotte Hotel, the Lotte City Hotel is the first 8 floor of the Lotte Castle condo towers. Modern comforts including free internet, LCD TV in wall and modern bidet toilet! Subway lines 5 and 6 are below the building.
“Clean efficiency”
Enjoyed the stay at the hotel for 11 nights. Great hotel for the price. Clean and comfortable rooms with english speaking front desk. Free internet which was great. attached to subway stop and taxi stand outside. A hidden gem.
“Impressive”
