We had a wonderful stay at Grand Cayman Beach Suites. The staff is fabulous. They are helpful and so friendly. Our room was great. We had a 1 bedroom Oceanview suite. It was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel beach area was great. It's less crowded then other parts of Seven Mile Beach. You never have trouble getting a beach chair. The pool area and pool bar were nice as was the bar staff. The concierge booked some excursions for us as well as gave us recommendations for restaurants. We decided to rent a car for a day so we could see the east side of the island and would have been very disappointed if we had missed it. For us Americans it was an adventure driving on the left side of the road but well worth it. Definitely hope to come back.

We stayed here for a few days and we honestly didn't want to leave! The staff was great, accommodating and kind. We loved everything. The hotel is pricey from $100 breakfast to $300 dinners but so is the island. You can't get any better than the Ritz!

Walked everywhere felt safe at night. Only thing bad was the mosquitoes at dusk. Cabs are easy to get anywhere.
Ate at Tortuga in Westin, Eats, Cimboca, and Calypso all were very good. Staff at Westin were very nice.

Coming from Canada we really surprised to see the U.S. dollar worth 25% less than the Cayman dollar so we really took a hit on our money exchange . As far as Grand Cayman goes ,yes the beaches are beautiful as with many Caribbean destinations, but a little over exaggerated. As SHANIA would say "That don't impress me much " unless your trying to fool yourself. Stingray City is a good bet and worth the visit.
Would I return? Probably but only because of the hotel.

I can't imagine why this resort has some bad reviews. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well located. The staff members were attentive and very friendly (especially Omar and Andrew). If we looked hot, someone literally ran to get us a bottle of cold water. No one hovered around for tips. In truth, most of the time they had moved on to help someone else before we could even get our wallets out. They also gave us great advice on where to eat and what to do with our time. The lobby is fun and exciting. The food is great and no more overpriced than the rest of the island. (You must try the crepes.) The beach is well protected so offers a very safe place for children and non-swimmers to enjoy the water. The gardens were lovely. It also was a pleasant surprise to find that the daily resort fee covered unlimited use of internet, bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, paddleboards and snorkeling equipment. I love going on vacation and not being "nickeled and dimed" to death. We felt the resort was a bargain and the staff and people of Grand Cayman are the nicest we have encountered in our travels. We'll be back.

This was our 4th visit to Grand Cayman, our 1st time at Aqua Bay. We are hooked! The grounds are immaculate, the condo was clean and perfectly appointed. Beds were comfy and kitchen has everything we needed. The screened patios are great for evening dining, hammocks perfect, beach not crowded at all. Very quiet, great for family vacation!

We loved the spacious rooms and exquisite furnishings of this hotel. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned daily. The front desk employees and maid service were also excellent. Also, the beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen and it was never crowded. Everything you would need to float, play or relax is provided by the hotel. The one negative is the poolside wait service. They are hard to find and slow!!! The food by the pool is also marginal. However, we didn't eat there more than one time and fixed our own drinks to bring to the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel for those that want a quiet, relaxing vacation on one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Also, we were surprised to find out that there are no waves in the ocean at this location. It is like swimming in a pool the water is so beautifully blue and clear. In addition there are no shells but only small pieces of coral. You can snorkel right in front of the hotel. You will be able to see the reefs from your balcony. I wouldn't worry about where your room is located in this hotel. The way it is configured there are no bad views.

We've stayed at Treasure Island the last three times we've been in Grand Cayman.
We love the openess of the reception/bar area and the feel of the tropics. We enjoy the convenient location to Georgetown, the kitchen facilities, the pool and beach access. The hotel is an older hotel, set up mostly for divers, but it is clean and affordable. The hotel staff has always been very nice and accomodating. We know it's not a 5 star, but we had rather spend more on our expericences on the island with good accomodations than expensive hotels that offer the same feel in every hotel and are overpriced.

Considered one of the world’s loveliest beaches, Seven Mile Beach is on Grand Cayman’s West End. A popular spot is Cemetery Beach, the northernmost part of Seven Mile Beach, which is a beautiful spot with snorkeling right off shore.
