Very limited cateringPosted Nov 10, 2013
Catering facilities at this hotel are very, very limited. There is no cafe/snack bar even though this is advertised as being open all day. The bar is not open at all. There is nowhere to get anything to eat or drink before dinner at 8pm. The dinner menu only offers a very limited fixed price menu. This was very disappointing as there are no other bars or restaurants in the vicinity.

Nice, but not convenient to attractionsPosted Jun 30, 2013
Pros: It is a fairly new, modern hotel. It's location, although interesting, is not convenient to anything. It is OK for business travelers perhaps.
Location: Too far out to be convenient to anything. It is hard to find and enter.
The hotel itself is difficult to find, and it is built around an olympic stadium. There was a huge concert in the stadium the night we stayed, so there were thousand of people outside in line, including vendors, etc. Luckily, we were not driving anywhere that night, otherwise we would have had to move our car to a lot further away, as people were allowed to wailt in line there. It is also NOT walking distance to anywhere. There is a bus stop about a block from the hotel, but it is a good 25 minute ride to the cathedral.

not a 4 star hotelPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Hotel Exe Isla Cartuja and if I could rate it any lower I would. I solely booked it based on the star ranting and the reviews, and I was unpleasantly surprised. The hotel is old, with old and dirty rooms. The bathrooms are absolutely filthy. Upon arrival we were greeted nicely by the representative, and that probably the only nice thing I have to say about this hotel. He gave us a room on the first floor with the view of the stadium. It did have the view of the stadium, but the view of dirty under-the-stairs (ceiling for the seating area) with pigeon droppings all over the floors. According to Wikipedia the 'la cartuja' stadium have only been used less than 10 times during it's 10 years life. After complaining about the view, we were given a different room on the 4th floor with the view of the city which was slightly better. The carpets are old and dirty, the bed sheets were old and dirty and stunk, the bathroom floors and the toilets were super old and filthy. I don't know much about hotel ratings, but I have stayed at 2 star hotels that were cleaner than this hotel. I don't usually write reviews on hotels, but I had to on this one. This is not a 4 star hotel. Stay away.

Exceelent Value- location not idealPosted May 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the breakfast. The location was quite far from the sights, however.

Affordable stay in SevillePosted Mar 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We would return as this hotel is affordable for Seville. The room was large and comfortable. The room was a bit worn with uncomfortable chairs but for the price, we would stay there again. The biggest draw is the location is easy to get to and parking is free. The staff was helpful in answering questions and recommending restaurants close by.

too far to walk to sightsPosted Sep 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel itself ok. if you were attending some sporting or music event at the stadium. Staff friendly and helpful, but surrounding area not the best, would not fancy walking round there at night!

Great if you travel by car.Posted Aug 30, 2012
Pros: Free parking, good breakfast, room with lots of space.
Cons: Lack of shops, bars and places to eat nearby.
Location: Bus to town at walking distance from hotel.
Good location if you travel by car - free parking and bus stop to downtown within 100m. Many supermarkets in the neighborhood. A little weird to have a breakfast looking at the stadium but it's fun. The breakfast is very good, many choices to choose from. The only con is that when we asked for an iron we got response that their guest iron is currently out of service, which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. Overall we had a good stay here.
