Clean, Modern Stay Near-ish to Old SevillaPosted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Modern feel, comfortable bed, friendly staff, and decent location.
Cons: Maintenance of the rooms could be improved a little bit.
Location: Location near the Plaza de Espana is good. It ended up being a bit of a longer walk to the old city than hoped, but helped avoid driving in old city.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights during our recent trip through Andalucia. I selected this hotel because of the more modern feel, which my wife often looks for in hotels, while still being somewhat close to the old part of the city. The hotel provided modern amenities, a clean room, and a nice stay overall. The hotel looks like an older art-deco building (the stonework could use some cleaning on the outside), but it has been nicely updated relatively recently. Staff were courteous and helpful upon our check-in to the hotel. We were able to work through the check-in through a bilingual conversation. One note is that the hotel agreement that you sign is very long and only in Spanish, which may be off-putting for some people if they are unsure about what they are signing. A wi-fi password for our stay was provided at check-in. There were some troubles with our devices signing out, but we worked through them and a help desk number was provided. The room was very clean overall, definitely had a modern feel, and had a great view of the Plaza de Espana and the city. The desk, chairs, and bed were modern, and the mattress was very comfortable and large. In addition, the bathroom was updated nicely with large sinks and a nice shower. While the room was quite clean, we did see some mold starting to form on the shower ceiling, and the wonderful shower head had some plugging due to hard water. Not big issues, but hate to see newly updated items go bad quickly!

So disappointing we left Sevilla a day earlyPosted Oct 17, 2014
Cons: concierge instead of selling tickets to horrible bus tour.
Location: Other than Plaza de Espana, there is nothing of interest in close proximity to the hotel. The San Marco Restaurant next to the hotel was good and the
The hotel was a very basic hotel- more appropriate for business travelers- not tourists. It would be a 3 star hotel by American standards. The room was modern and comfortable. We paid extra for a room with a view of Plaza de Espana. But we also got a view of the hotel pool, nearby apartments and the other section of the hotel- most of which are in poor condition. And the traffic noise was awful- considering we were 5 floors up. The hotel spa is closed for renovations. The pool overlooks the noisy street so it is not very relaxing. And the pool bar and restaurant were closed for the season. The outside of the hotel is in desperate need of a paint job. There was only one restaurant in the hotel and it was empty. We were ordered room service and understood why- the food was awful! There was a lobby bar that served as the café that was not very inviting. The hotel staff recommended that we take the City Bus Tour- and convinced us to buy tickets from the hotel- where we could get two days for the price of one. It was a HORRIBLE tour through the Triana barrio. It did not take you to the best sites in Sevilla- the Giralda Tower, the Alcazar or the Catedral de Sevilla. It was supposed to be airconditioned but it was not. It was crowded and the staff did not understand any English/Spanglish. Normally I would not blame the hotel but I would not have purchased this tour or wasted my day if the staff had not recommended the tour so strongly.

Upgraded room was huge and beautifulPosted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: The design and value.
Cons: At this price point, I can't think of anything.
We stayed here for two nights in early October. We were upgraded to a deluxe room, with a sitting area and great view over the pool and Plaza Espana. The interior decor of the hotel is very nice. The bedroom and bathroom were the biggest we stayed in during our 2 weeks in Portugal and Spain. The location is convenient, but not in the heart of the old city. Breakfast buffet was excellent, and all staff members we encountered were a pleasure. We were surprised with chocolates and cava in our room, and a request for gluten free products at breakfast was met with an entire platter of various gluten-free baked goods. It's really an excellent hotel and an excellent value.

Wonderfully staffed and comfortable hotel.Posted Oct 13, 2014
My stay was perfect. People complain about the water pressure in shower and tub, but I found that to be corrected. The staff were absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. If you have time, grab breakfast there. Or take a stroll to the pool for a wonderful view of the plaza de espana. Mind the spinning front door. Need a cab? There's about 5 always across the street. Need some food? Enjoy their bar for tapas or main entrees!

The hotel was clean and modern decor. About 15 mins away from the centre. Breakfast very over priced though.

Pros: It had a swimming pool which was nice to use in the afternoon after sightseeing in the morning.
Location: The hotel was about a 15 minute walk from the main attractions of the cathedral and Alcazar.
I enjoyed my stay in this hotel which was to a high standard of cleanliness.

Comfortable room but faded service since last stay. Pool out of action our entire stay. Outside bar closed all the time. Cleaners would walk into our room at 830 without knocking. Shower leaked and flooded each time we used it. Location a bit too far away from the tourist spots.

Sight seeing in SevillePosted Jul 2, 2014
Great location - 25 minute walk from city centre. Great public transport around city from near to hotel - we chose to walk everywhere. Great breakfast- good choice of buffet options.

Nice hotel, close to public transportPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: The hotel had a very relaxed feel about it. Rooms have obviously been refurbished recently and the bathroom was to a high standard.
Cons: If the pool is closed, put that on the website, as it must have been closed for some time, as reports about it being closed date back to May.
Location: Great location, tram stop and tour bus close by and a 15 minute stroll into the centre of Seville and the river.
Ugly hotel from the outside, but the interior of the hotel more than makes up for it. The hotel is close to public transportation and a 15 minute stroll takes you to the centre of Seville. My only complaint was that the pool wasn't open and as I chose this hotel as it had a swimming pool it was particularly disappointing. There wasn't anything on the website to say that the pool was closed either.
