GeneralifePosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: The staff were very nice and helpful.
Cons: See above!
Very very disappointing, even though I didn't expect much given the price. You can't check in at Generalife but you have to walk to their other hostel. I checked in, went back to Generalife and found that they hadn't cleaned my room after the previous occupant!! So back to the other location to complain. The woman on duty was very nice and tried her best to find someone to clean the room (she had to call people on the phone). The room was the worst I've seen even when "clean". Room B on the ground floor. Dark, dirty, mouldy and very noisy from the street. The window didn't close properly and only half the window was covered by the curtain. The "bathroom" was Asian style - although much much worse than I ever saw in Asia (including Thailand and Bali) ... just the sink, the toilet and a hand held shower in between... so you shower in the middle of this room. When I did try to shower the showerhead was broken with water coming out in the wrong place. Then the entire bathroom flooded, then water moved to the bedroom and the hallway! This, after the fastest shower possible. Had to go back to the other location in the morning to request another room. Again, the person on duty was nice and tried her best to help. I got a room in the other location which was much better but had a shared bath. I will never stay at Generalife again, not will I recommend it to anyone! I might stay at the other location if I call on the phone and make sure I can choose the room.

OK, but noisyPosted May 20, 2014
The room was clean and roomy enough. The problem is that the street is very noisy, with a bar right next to the hotel closing at two or three in the morning. With no air conditioning, you have to keep the windows open, so sleeping gets hard.

great quiet locationPosted May 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hot water lasts for about 3 minutes. Quiet place. Great location. However the front desk was located 4 blocks away.

Amazing Location in the Centre of TownPosted Apr 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was exactly what we expected for the price we paid. It was small without the luxuries of a larger hotel but clean. The location was ideal in that it was within walking distance of all the great sights and attractions. Unfortunately the wifi was only available in the lobby, a very small concession. The only real issue was noise and congestion. We stayed in Seville during Easter and there were many celebrations in the area so the streets were extremely busy at times which made it hard to get around, however, it was also very exciting to be so involved in the festivities. The noise was the real issue. The festival kept people up until 4am at times and they would pass through out street to get home or to their next destination. Our room looked over the street and it was extremely loud. I would not recommend staying somewhere else during the easter festivities or requesting a room that does not face the street. Other than that, our trip was great!

It was fine considering the price. The one room with a bathroom is on the street level which is quite noisy.

Great location, but you get what you pay forPosted Apr 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
The lack of any English from the staff member on duty when I checked in was unfortunate. Of course, it was a Sunday night, but needing some kind of refrigeration for some vital medication that was not possible to arrange, left me feeling agitated. Also, needing to go from one difficult to find location to another, even though both were very central, was not an easy task. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, but there was not anything wonderful about the service.

A Place to SleepPosted Mar 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom/shower were absolute bare minimum. The shower head did not have a mount, so you had to hold it the hold time. Hot water was limited to about 5 minutes. Odd smell in the sleeping room after taking a shower (like rotten eggs). I was on the bottom floor and every word spoken outside in the somewhat busy pedestrian street was magnified and echoed in the room. It was pretty much a private hostel room.

I've had a good stay. Great location. Couldn't have asked for a better place. Pick up the key from hostel Lis II, then a short walk throught the shoppes. Close to many great place to eat, coffee and drinks.

Great locationPosted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very well located in Seville, in walking distance of everything you could want to see, as well as the main bus station. Room has a heater so it's not cold in the winter! The person next door to us knocked on our door and asked when we are staying until. Not sure is he is resident or not! The shared bathroom was fine, as is often typical in Spain the shower head holder doesn't really work well with the shower head to create a conventional showring expereince, but you'll get by easily. If the shower goes cold, turn it off and on again, it should warm up in a minute.

Hotel is well placed to access the centre and bus station. Very good value for money, very basic accommodation but clean, only negative point you have to collect the keys from another hotel which is only a few minutes away. Overall satisfied.
