Pleasant, but not great, hotel in good location.

Posted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Good location by the beach. Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Towels were a bit old - for £250 a night you expect nice fluffy ones, not slightly frayed old ones.
Location: Beautiful beach just 1 minutes walk from hotel. Diving, fishing and boat trips to other islands can be organised locally.
This is a pleasant hotel set in a nice garden next to the beach. However, for the money (£250 a night) it didn't feel very special - perfectly nice but not £250 worth of nice!

Great location close to Cote D'or Beach

Posted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: It was clean, staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was excellent (fill your boots!). Has a small gym (good at 12.00 when the sun is high).
Cons: Free wifi would enable contact with the outside world and life could be perfect.
Location: Location is good, taxi from airport is 400 rupees (can't take the bus as they don't allow your bags on :(( ). Close to local shops and restaurants.
This hotel is located right on the beach and is a great place to stay. Beware the sand flies on the beach as they will bite and the bites will itch. But that's not the end of the world. Located close to a bus stop and you can get around the island on the local buses for just 5 rupees (£0.35) to anywhere. The best beach is Anse Lazio, a 40 min bus ride away - fantastic blue water, calm seas in a lovely bay and no sand flies! Food on Praslin is not fantastic. The buffets at the hotel (3 times per week) are the best value (400 rupees per person, eat as much as you can). Food in other restaurants (10 minute walk away down the beach or along the road) is average at best - quite pricey for average food. Main courses, eg chicken creole curry are 285 rupees (~£17). Praslin is ideal for a sun and sand holiday and a boat trip to La Digue is also a must - bus to the Jetty then a 15 min boat journey. All currencies accepted and exchanged in all hotels and restaurants.

Nettes Hotel. Preis-Leistungverhältnis fraglich

Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Freundlichkeit des Personals, stimmungsvolles Ambiente
Cons: Pool unangekündigt 2 Tage nicht benützbar
Location: Ruhige Lage aber Lokale und Geschäfte in Gehdistanz. Flacher Sandstrand

Good hotel for the value

Posted Oct 29, 2012 on Hotels
We spent only 2 days in Acajou hotel in Praslin and we had to book on a short notice. I think it's a good hotel for what we paid. The check in was smooth and reasonably quick. They showed us to the rooms and we saw that one of the bedsheets was dirty so they changed it immediately. Breakfast selection was alright but not amazing...but there's not many restaurants around so you better have it. Shops in the Island close early so you probably will have dinner there as well....don't order the steaks. Also make sure you have an insect repellant handy as there are tiny mosquitoes around at night. Lastly, don't waste your time at the hotel beach, head to Anse Lazio ASAP.

Seychelles hotel Acajou Praslin

Posted Oct 7, 2010
