HOTEL to be massively renovated

Pros: Position
Cons: Staff, Furniture and Room finishing especially for the bathrooms, Breakfast buffet to be richer and cleaner.
Location: Location is central and basically good. In that area it is very easy to book boats to go for excursions in the nearby islands.
We spent two nights at Berjaya Praslin Resort. The Hotel is nicely located in Anse Volbert, a very good base to explore Praslin and the surronding little islands. We found this hotel essentially OLD. Our room had forniture that probably was from the 70s. Also the bathroom was very rough, for sure not adequate to a rate of 180 €/night. Moreover there were several cracks in the walls and in the roof allowing lizards and geckoes in. Also, Air conditioning was not working. Staff is honestly not good with most of them that seem slow and not willing to help. The breakfast is really not fantastic with poor choice, but this seems to be a common characteristic in Seychelles. In conclusion the hotel has a good potential, but needs massive renovation and with this pace it just doesn't work. I would not suggest this hotel as of now.

Budget hotel near the beach

Cons: CLEANINESS The hotel needs to offer free wi-fi or a more affordable option. it is one of two hotels that charges for wi-fi on the island!
Location: Beach, shops, all types of resturants
nice location. standard room. It was a smoking room and had very, very stale smell of cigarette that was choking. There were cobwebs, a cockroach and the toilet had not been cleaned becasue there was still a 'twinkle' on the toilet seat! The table tops were not wiped. just not very at ease with level of cleaniess. i honestly felt the same way about the breakfast served. Someone is sleeping on the job. The staff were helpful though.

Well-run, reasonably-priced resort hotel

Cons: In-room safe would be easier to use. In-room WiFi not available.
Location: The beach location (Anse Volbert) is lovely, clean, and inviting.
This is a well-run resort hotel with well-maintained facilities. Attention potential US clients: there are some amenities that would be standard in an American facility of this caliber that are not available here: no TV in the room, no WiFi in the room (lobbies only). However, the staff are courteous and eager to help. The rooms open to the outdoors: poolside or beachside. The deluxe rooms are large with good air conditioning, and a second (twin-size) bed is standard in these rooms. The king-size bed mattress was firm but comfortable. The baths are adequate and ventilate directly outdoors (no A/C). There are refrigerators and coffee/tea service in each deluxe room. Beach towel and hotel safe services are run through the reception. The resort partners with a few travel agencies, which maintain desks in the lobby so that one can book excursions directly from these services. There is no general concierge. Food in the resort's restaurants was good, not great (we booked bed & breakfast, not full-board). We saw many families with small children as well as many adult-only parties. The common areas (including the pool, bar, and game room) were well-serviced, and pleasant to use.

Pros: Staff very polite and helpfull (Santa Rose did here best to assist us, thanks). Plenty of local shops and restuarants in walking distance.
Cons: Security conserns, no privacy or atmosphere. Not good value for money.
Location: Beach could be nice if you can get past all the vendors harassing you ...
This Hotel has zero atmosphere or character and we don’t recommend it at all to couples or Honeymooners. Large tour groups and families on a tight budget might find it OK. The Hotel grounds extends to the beach (closest rooms about 60 meters from beach), just a pity the public walkway for the locals cross the stretch between the beach and the rooms!! This is a concern for privacy and also security (maybe why your room has three different locks on the door and you are warned by the Hotel to lock everything). The irony, there is no safe in the room! The beach seems to be the mooring placing for all local boats so again lots of “outsiders” no privacy or atmosphere. My wife were harassed within 2 minutes of walking on the beach. We booked for 6 days but checked out the next day.

Good place, nice stuff. delicious breakfast. near the beach, and the diving centre. I hate those ants, they are every where.
