Beautiful Resort in ParadisePosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed the location of the resort, which has something for all categories of all travellers. We also loved the accommodation.
Cons: The Bars and Restaurants were unable to serve draft beer during our stay.
Location: We enjoyed the resort so much that we didn't venture out for the entire 12 night stay.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 12 nights here on the South Beach in a first floor Junior Suite. The accommodation was spacious and in a quiet location near the Adam & Eve restaurant. A 2 minute walk from our room took us onto the fabulous South Beach, which despite the resort being full was almost always virtually deserted. We dined in all the restaurants in the South Beach area more than once and our most enjoyable was the Italian Buffet at the Helios although the themed nights at Corossol . The staff throughout the resort were so helpful and friendly. The shuttle service was useful although walking around the resort's South Beach area was no trouble.

Reasonable Hotel, but not for couples.Posted Jun 20, 2014
The hotel itself is set in large and pleasant grounds but it seems to be lacking in character, a lot of the forest appears to have been cleared which results in a lot of open space which is only filled with grass, perhaps they should try and plant more trees to give a more natural feel. That said the hotel is behind a mountain and has two public coves attached to the hotel, so this does offer something to offset my previous comment. However, these same mountains do tend to bring in a lot of clouds so the weather here I understand is not as good as further south on the Island and away from the hills. The hotel is also dissapointingly very expensive both for the rooms and the extras, a 2 course meal before drinks will easily set you back 50 euros a head. The location of the hotel is very remote so it is difficult to eat outside the hotel unless you want to fork out 100 euros for a taxi. Seychelles is an expensive place in general though and at least at the hotel you do get good service for your money, the staff are all friendly who were all willing to go the extra mile. My verdict is that you can get better experience and at a lower cost in other similar tropical beach locations, Bali, Thailand amongst others. I would also not recommend this for honeymooners, far too many families with young kids who tend to take over the resort, unless we choose a half term week!

Paradise has a name....Constance Ephelia, SeychPosted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Friendliness of staff, sports possibilities are various (for water as well on land), different beaches, good range of restaurants. Awesome zip lines!!
Cons: No Idea!!
Location: Really GORGEOUS place, beautiful beaches one for snorkelling others for enjoying views and calm sea. Go to the top of Morne Blanc, take the zip line!!
Very pleasant hotel on beautiful spot of the island Mahe. The welcoming staff makes you immediately feeling at home. While enjoying a welcome drink they inform you about restaurants, (water-) sports facilities, beaches and tours in and outside the resort. Their response to a technical issue was directly taking care of the matter. Friendly staff throughout the whole resort. Quality of food, buffet style, definitely good and not to massive thanks to 5 different resto's. Had an awesome zip lining experience with the guys. Junior suites are comfortable and situated next to reception and main resto. Pools are fairly sized, towel and bar service, free cool lemon water. During our stay we had three big rain showers during the day, not bad because sun re-appears right after last drop! Worth while the sweat was a great hike to the top of Morne Blanc (viewing point at 905m)... ! In Victoria we didn't find much interesting, Eden Island (south of Victoria toward airport) is worth while a visit to stroll around the shops and resto's at the marina. Temps were around 30C, humidity up to 75%. Evenings were very comfortable, bit cooler. Truly everything and everybody on the resort shows it's "Inspired by Passion"!!!

Great hotel environment, REQUIRE flexible servicePosted Mar 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was absolutely wonderful, environment was great, recreation was awesome, it certainly is the biggest hotel on mahe island. However, the staff services was very unflexible, it will be better if services could be more personalised. For example, on our first night or arrival we were told by one staff that we cannot enter any restaurants to eat due to our dresscode in blouse and shorts, but we discovered the next day most people were in their casual outfits. So we had to get room service. Another example is we booked snorkelling out into the ocean in advance through hotel activities services, but we ended up following a group of divers into an area where snorkelling was simply not suitable, where there are not much to see. It was a very disappointing experience.

The Constance Ephe'lia has nice family villas but the layout of the 3 bedroom units are not the most friendly as the master is downstairs and the 2 other bedrooms are separated by a staircase which is not quite interior so it'll be difficult for people with younger children. There is a lot of space but the living area is outside next to the pool which is quite warm in the day. All the bedrooms lock and require a key card to enter so you have to be quite aware and carry one with you to sit outside. Lots of seaweed on the beach and a strange system of different buggies for villa and suites, takes quite a while. Excellent butler system for the villas though. Overall very nice but with some quirks.

A Week in ParadisePosted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: The staff were supremely friendly and helpful, going over the top to make sure our stay was the best it could possibly be.
Cons: Minor: The attentiveness of the lunch time waitstaff at Helios. Lunch would often take too long, and we just wanted to eat and get back to the beach.
Location: It is paradise. Hiking, SCUBA, Snorkeling, Spa treatments, browsing the market in Victoria, and lounging on the comfortable chairs on the beach.
We traveled to Mahe, Seychelles in mid March of 2014. The weather was gorgeous, being in the low to mid 80's Fahrenheit the entire week with partial cloud cover and only a couple scattered showers (generally lasting no more than 30 minutes) the whole week we were there. The beaches at this resort were amazing as was the water. Since the ocean was nice and warm we did not make use of any of the resort's numerous pools. The food for the entire week was amazing and so incredibly fresh. We ate at all of the restaurants the resort had to offer, and we HIGHLY recommend getting the half-board rate. In the 6 days we were at the resort we went hiking twice, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, ziplining through the forest, we visited Victoria, and had a spa day. Mix that in with the various drinks and lunches that we had throughout the week and the airport shuttle service and we spent an additional ~1600 USD. The SCUBA was amazing, such beautiful coral reefs teeming with wildlife. The ziplining was incredibly fun with many spectacular views along the lines, and managed by very competent staff. Snorkeling in the northern bay was great too, just remember to wear a shirt or shorty to protect your back from sunburn. We also highly recommend trying to arrange a hike on one of the mountains in the adjacent national park. The Ros Lepa trail on the resort is great, but the views you get hiking to the top of the public trails cannot be matched.

Depends on which room type u check inPosted Feb 14, 2014
We stay 5 nights with 3 in Junior suite,1 in beach villa and 1 in hill vila. I would say without the last hill villa, the trip wiould be just so so...the hill villa is really impressive.... Most staff is quite nice, but be careful with the guy covering 100m swimming pool in south side, a bit tricky... Dinner is very expensive, strongly not rec....

Fantastic place! Terrific Northen beach!Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Location, SPA, Design of the rooms, Tortouses, Seselwa restaurant
Cons: The beaches should be cleaned better. I didnt see, that someone contrilled how they works
Location: The territory is so big, that you dont need to go out of the hotel. It is nothing to do near by.
I liked very much the whole complex, including beaches, spa zone is unbelievable!!! Its a paradise! Beaches are in the ferst page of the book with the best views of MAHE. I dont like that these beautiful beaches not always cleaned from the leaves etc. people are so lazy!! In the breakfast staff is not very polite!

Crowdy BIG hotelPosted Nov 23, 2013
Hotel for those who like Big Box places. Food choices were good. Staff was polite and ready to help you. The beach (in the North part of this huge hotel) was OK, but overcrowded. Rooms (we stayed at Senior Suite) were clean, but rather simple... Overall you would not expect such a place at Seychelles, where there are so many "boutique" hotels (we started our journey at Ruffles on Praslin, that was quite a nice experience!). That hotel reminded us mass-market Turkey, Dominican, etc...
