Cenral to everything. Quiet, overlooking the sea. Owners and staff very helpful with advice and information. Welcoming environment with well kept garden and flowers. Meals on the sea front. Deckchair provided with shade. Best breakfast with beautifully cooked eggs. Thank you to all.

Bright sunny accommodation with hospitable owners
A bright sunny room overlooking the beach. Very hospitable owners and a great taverna downstairs for all your needs. A great choice to rest overnight after walking the gorge or for a few days of total peace and relaxation.

A perfect base for the gorge hike
It was a perfect night to prepare for a big day's hike up Samaria gorge. The owner was very welcoming and throughout the stay he was always friendly and helpful. He also provided an extra pullout bed at short notice. The room was small but fine, with good aircon and free wifi. We had a really good dinner in the restaurant overlooking the beach and the breakfast the following morning was fine too. He helpfully offered a place to store our luggage while we hiked the gorge.

Worth the extra few steps at the end of the gorge
We had booked for two but arrived with three and due to one of our party being injured spent longer than intended, but none if this seemed to matter - a room change was quickly arranged, there was no extra charge and we were facilitated with a very late checkout. We were so impressed we wanted to stay another night but other travel plans meant this was not possible. Everything was very clean, food and drink were excellent, service was fantastic. If you are planning to walk the Samaria Gorge this is a great place to stop off, even if you are not staying over ad it has direct access to the sea, a beach with shower, changing space, wc and sunbeds in return for a small meal and drink. If you can find the time stay for s night or two and enjoy peace and relaxation after the ferry has gone.

Good hotel, relaxing.
We spent one night at the Gigilos after doing the Samaria gorge. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We had a good night sleep. It would have been nice to have a shower curtain, as it is hard to shower without splashing water everywhere. Dinner was good. The breakfast included in the room is very simple (great fresh orange juice, toast and coffee). If you like a big breakfast, it would be worth it to order and pay the breakfast separately (instead of having it included in the room rate). The owner was nice (staff at reception so-so). It is really worth it to spend the night in Agia Roumeli and take the boat next day; the village is so quiet at night (in the morning, you hear the cocks roosting and the bells of the sheep nearby).

I've never mange to stay in this hotel.
The only way to get to this hotel is by doing "Samaria Walk" 16 km or by ferry (return tickets for 1 person 16 euros, taxi boat 80 euros) . Ferry's operates 3 time per day. Description of this hotel is very misleading "free parking" .

Et sted og et hotell til å lengte tilbake til
Hotel Gigilos har en fantastisk beliggenhet ved stranden. Det er svært stille det meste av døgnet. Personalet er svært serviceinnstilt. Hotellets egen restaurant er hyggelig og rimelig og serverer god mat. Det eneste negative er mangelen på praktiske hyller og knagger på badet.

Εκτός από επαγγελματίες, είναι και άνθρωποι. Έχουν ευαισθησία και κατανόηση πάνω στο κομμάτι πεζοπορία / ορειβασία, συμπεριφερόμενοι πολύ ευγενικά και ευέλικτα σε ανθρώπους που μπορεί ακόμη και να αλλάξουν ξαφνικά πρόγραμμα λόγω καιρικών συνθηκών στα άγρια βουνά των Λευκών Ορέων. Αποτελούν σταθερή προτίμηση για πολύ κόσμο που ασχολείται με δραστηριότητες ελεύθερου χρόνου στη φύση.

The fact is that the customer (who stayed only one night fro seven in the booking) was very upset because he wanted to cancel the booking without paying the cancellation fees. Also, he do not understand English, a worker from expedia on the phone was translating from Italian to English.

Fantastiskt litet hotell med magisk strandutsikt och väldigt service minded personal då jag glömde kvar saker så löste de det mycket smidigt - Tack :) Perfekt hotell att stanna en natt på efter att vandrat Samaria Gorge. God frukost ned fantastisk beach view o vågskvalp från restaurangen mysig strand som var lugn (när vi var där) vi är supernöjda o skulle definitivt boka igen.

Helt unikt ophold på et helt unikt sted. Man kan enten sejle eller vandre gennem samarikløften. Hotellet er egentlig lowclass, men det passer bare med stedet og med det lette strandliv, man har på stedet.

Mindenkinek ajánlom egy megterhelő egész napos Szamária szurdok túra elkerülésére. A csend este leírhatatlan. A család saját étterme a hotel előtt a parton nagyon hagulatos, remek ételekkel. Gyönyörű környezet, sok kecse, a szurdok déli bejáratáig este is fel lehet sétálni. Ne lepődj meg, ha néhány kecske elkísér.

Υπέροχο ξενοδοχείο και υπέροχοι άνθρωποι κυρίως!!!
Η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου ιδανική για οικογένεια σαν τη δική μας με δύο μικρά παιδιά.Η θάλασσα ακριβώς στα πόδια μας.Οι μανούλες θα εκτιμήσουν ιδιαίτερα αυτή τη λεπτομέρεια. Το μέρος έτσι κι αλλιώς προσφέρει την ηρεμία που χρειάζεται μια οικογένεια για απόλυτη ξεκούραση. Το ξενοδοχείο ήταν πεντακάθαρο και εκτίμησα ότι παρόλο που μείναμε λίγες μέρες, μας άλλαξαν σεντόνια, πετσέτες και καθάρισαν το δωμάτιο δύο φορές κατά την πενταήμερη διαμονή μας. Το εστιατόριο του ξενοδοχείου υπέροχο με απίθανες σπιτικές γεύσεις από τα χεράκια της μαμάς. Οι ιδιοκτήτες (μια οικογένεια όλοι) μας αγκάλιασαν ιδιαιτέρως και προσπαθούσαν να μας παράσχουν οτιδήποτε θα μας έκανε να αισθανθούμε ότι βρισκόμασταν σπίτι μας. Για παράδειγμα να αναφέρω ότι μας πρότειναν να δώσουν στα παιδιά μας, όσπρια που δεν ήταν στο μενού αλλά το είχαν μαγειρέψει για τα δικά τους τα παιδιά. Επίσης θα ήθελα να τους ευχαριστήσω πολύ για το γεγονός ότι όταν χρειάστηκα για την μικρή μου που ήταν λίγο άρρωστη να μου φτιάξουν λίγο κοτόπουλο με ρυζάκι, το έκαναν σαν να ήταν το δικό τους παιδί. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα και σίγουρα θα επιστρέψουμε για τις επόμενες διακοπές μας!!!!!

Kølige værelser og havudsigt fra balkonen.
Efter at ankomme med færgen, mødes man af den afslappende stemning i den lille by. Værelset indeholdte det som man kan forvente, AC, køleskab etc. Men det var udsigten fra altanen som fangede mig. Bjergene, havet og stranden, intet andet end det. Vi spiste på den tilhørende restaurant, der lå på stranden, lige på den anden side af vejen. Udvalget var ikke så stort, men kvaliteten i top.
