“Great staff, Great location...perfect stay...will go back with the full family next time”

This hotel is in a prime spot for anyone wanting to go to Valley Fair, the Renaissance Festival, Misty Lake casino or anything in and around Shakopee. All are just minutes away and the hotel is off of several primary roads. Staff was great! We got discounted tickets to both Valley Fair and the Renaissance Festival at the front desk. The hotel breakfast was very good with waffel machines, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, etc.. Place was very clean and very well maintained!

“Lisa”

The hotel is older but it's clean and the decor has been updated. The room was super clean. The beds were comfortable, not great but comfortable. The bathroom had a lot counter space for all of our stuff. It was nice having a fridge and microwave for drinks and snacks. Nice hot breakfast. We stayed for almost a week. They have a decent pool and free video games. The owners are super nice. The only bad thing was there was smoke smell at our end of the hallway. I don't believe they allow smoking but it's there. And there was a horrible whiney child in the common areas, the pool and lobby area for our entire stay. I think they are a child of an employee and OMG...they were enough to make me want to check out.

“Great Place To Stay”

My room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The lobby was welcoming and there was a game room and multiple pc's for people to use. The pool room was clean and fun I would recommend this hotel to anyone - especially families.

“Nice stay”

This was a good motel for a quick stay when going to Valleyfair. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area was a little dated. Plenty of options for breakfast. The staff were very nice and the free warm cookies were excellent. Overall a reasonable price for a stay near Valleyfair.

“Enjoyed our Stay”

The breakfast was good and nice to grab a bite to eat before heading out for the day. Our main purpose for staying was to go to ValleyFair. The hotel offered discounted tickets, which was a nice surprise. From the hotel it was just a short drive to ValleyFair. Some fast food restaurants are located close to the hotel. We checked out Turtles (a bar and grill) one evening, it is located several blocks away from the hotel, but they had real good food. Still some road contruction in the area, but it didn't cause us any problems. The pool was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions or requests. Will stay here again.

“Old and rundown”

Small room, whirlpool didn't work, no towels for pool area, 70s decor. Panteen shampoo bottles but refilled with tresseme (we watched hotel staff do this), no extra blankets in room, terrible breakfast, no morning paper ( ok, that's picky but it is a perk I've seen at virtually every other hotel I've stayed at). Good points . . .free arcade games for kids.

“Will go back, very affordable”

My family and I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Shakopee on a recent trip to ValleyFair. We booked 2 rooms, and they were both very nice. This hotel was very affordable and located just a few miles from ValleyFair. Even though there was road construction in between our hotel and ValleyFair, it was quick and easy to get there. The only negative thing I have to say is, we requested these rooms next to each other and that didn't happen. We ended up being down the hall from each other. It wasn't a real big deal, but it was a request that I had when I reserved the 2 rooms. I would stay there again, and recommend it to others. We were very satisfied with the staff, the breakfast, the pool, the cleanliness, etc. Hope you have the same experience. :)

“A Real Gem”

When I booked our room here I was wondering why this hotel was only two and a half stars, yet the reviews were so good. Now I know. The service is impeccable, the property well maintained, and the location was perfect for our mini vacation. The star rating must be a formula rating that somehow does not count all these important qualities. I will stay here again. The rooms are comfortable, the pool is great, and the staff are as courteous and dedicated as you find at a 5 star hotel.
