Over night stay.

Posted Dec 24, 2014
Pros: Staff
Cons: Get some new pillows and hire a new contractor.
Location: Location is fine with easy access to everything Shamrock has to offer.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was what we expected considering the age of the motel. The disappointing item that we didn't find in the room was a Bible. The pillows on the bed were very flat and there were no extra pillows. The shower curtain was installed where it hung so far inside the tub that when wet it would cling to you as you showered. Over all the staff made up for the the discomfort of the room by being so friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work.

Pricing

Pros: For the price it was OK
Cons: The breakfast was terrible--------all carbohydrates! Only the apple was healthy.
Location: We were not interested in things to do as we were on a quick one night stay
I was shocked to find that the room rate was actually less than what Expedia got it for.

Its not a five star hotel, but its priced right and convenient for an overnight stay as you pass through. Staff is friendly and even though its an older hotel, it is pretty clean. It's my "go to" for an overnight between Texas and Nebraska. Plus they allow my dog.

Extremely poor experience

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Stayed at over 14 hotels so far along Route 66 and this one was the only disappointment. It's state of dilapidation is shocking, the staff are rude and there is no prospect of a pool despite being advertised. Do not stay here.

A good location and a clean and tidy hotel- sadly no pool, otherwise a great place.

Great stay

We were there 2 nights for a reunion in a neighboring town. Very comfortable and clean room. Beds/pillows the same. Plenty of hot water. It was a quiet motel with all we would look for in a motel stay. We had our small dog traveling with us and there were plenty of places both on the property as well as adjoining it to walk her. The continental breakfast was as good as one would expect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great service from office staff as well as housekeeping. Great stay!
