hotel was excellent could not do enough to help you even if they didnt quite understand you. mrt is a 10 min walk and if you explore around near the mrt there is lots of suitable resturants for westerners all in all a great hotel with central location would highly recemond it

Needs to renovate badly.

From the information online the hotel seemed modern and up to international travellers' expectations for a 4 STAR hotel. The staff were friendly enough, welcoming and an OK command of english. My room was spacious but very unloved. Bed extremely hard. Kitchenette had no crockery, pans etc so could not be used to prepare meals. That said eating out well is so cheap and surpsingly good quality that you don't need to eat in. Everything in the minibar from crisps to drinks to the complimentary water was all out of date, in some cases months out of date,.When I brought this to the hotels attention they didn't do anything about it.

This hotel was in the same block as the friend we were visiting - so location was convenient for us. It is close to Nanjing Rd, so would also be good for general tourism. Given that we had chosen the place primarily for its location, we were pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort or the rooms. The only issues were that the room smelt of cigarette smoke and the door to the balcony couldn't be shut properly.

I've stayed here a couple times and would recommend it to most anyone. I like the area and the rooms are large and well cared for. The people are friendly and professional, and they have a great breakfast. Chinese food is easy to find but if you just want some cheap good old American fast food you can find just about anything you might want about two blocks away.
