Nice, clean, cheap hotel near lotsPosted Feb 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was a great value. The location is great as it is close to the bund so you can go hang out by the river. It is also close to Nanjing shopping street and lots of other stuff is within walking distance. There is a small 24 hour convenience store across the street which is convenient because unfortunately there are not a lot of restaurants nearby. However, it is still a great hotel to stay in bc the other ones we stayed in that were the same price were dumps. The concierge, Peter, spoke English and was incredibly friendly. He made our stay more memorable. The showers were nice, with very hot water. In room fridge and electric kettle which comes in handy for late night noodle bowls and tea. Complimentary water bottles. They also have power converters you can borrow if you ask. Overall I loved this hotel and wish we would have stayed there the whole trip.

Location is the only good thing about this hotel. The upkeep of the hotel is limited only to the lobby area. Once away from the lobby the look of the whole place is pretty depressing. The carpet is ancient, threadbare, stained, filthy looking and above all never seems to have been cleaned since it was laid down. If you can put up with its faults and is on a budget,I supposed you can do worse. It's one redeeming point is its location. Very near to the Bund, Nanjing Road and Yuyuan Garden as well as the public transport system.
Very friendly and personable.Posted Nov 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
A block from the Bund. Always greeted by the staff, coming and going. When we checked-out, they went out of their way to ask about the stay, our experiences in China, and where we were going next. Our favorite hotel stay.

Pros: The decor!
Cons: not very nice views as it is down an alley, but that didn't really matter to me
Location: 5 minute walk to the bund, a little further to Nanjing Road walking street though
The hotel was fantastic. It is tucked away in an alley about a 5 minute walk from the bund.
