“One of the Best Hotels in Shanghai Pudong”

Very nice hotel on the top floors of the Jin Mao tower. Rooms have a spectacular view and the interior of the hotel is very nice. There is an interior atrium spanning about 20 floors that will make you dizzy. Location is very close to Super Brand Mall and the Oriental Pearl. Rooms are good, but bathrooms are a little strange. Many restaurants are within walking distance at one of two malls. Also more on Century Boulevard.

“Terrific”

Chinese hotels have really improved over the past ten years and the best of them are now world-class. This is one of them--don't miss the indoor pool, which is great. And the food is consistently excellent, especially at the surprisingly good Italian restaurant. Only drawback: you're in Pudong, so it's a bit of a trip over to the center of the city. But increasingly, you'll be doing business in Pudong anyway.

“Incredible Comfort and Service”

Virtually perfect. Room was very comfortable and elegant. Service was as good as it gets. Price through Expedia was the best I could find. Highly recommend staying here and would definitley recommend choosing a concierge level room for around $50 more per night (free breakfast, cocktails and appetizers - valued at much more than $50).

“A Very Modern Hotel - Excellent Value for the $$”

A very high class hotel located in Pudong. I enjoyed my stay in the Grand Hyatt Hotel. A very high class/first class hotel. 4/5 experiences with the staff were pleasant. The staff was very attentive. The hotel does unfortunately have some rude people working in it. and for it However, the hotel was incredible pleasant, modern, sophisticated and nice. I had a room that had 270 degree view of the Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and the Huangpu River on the 70th floor, and my room was quite large. If you are going to eat at the restaurant on the 54th floor; I suggest that you make a reservation (particularly for dinner). The hotel staff got a little testy when you did not have one although it was quite visible that were many empty tables for dining. Many hotels in China/HKG try to create this allure that there mega demand to eat at their restaurants by insisting you make a reservation although there are obviously tables available. I would definitely stay there again. The Park Hyatt just recently opened across the street, so the Grand Hyatt has a some competition which is good. The Luangzi metro stop was a couple of blocks away which is also very good.

“Great Overview of Shanghai”

Room was clean and the perspective from the room was gorgeous. Restaurant was so-so and the staff there was not so kind as I had expected. Swimming pool at 57th floor was impressive that you can enjoy swimming in the middle of skycrapers!

“hotel with amazing view”

Grand Hyatt Pudong was renowned with its location, Jin Mao Tower, as I heard from my friend. That's why I want to stay on the last day of 2007. Compared with its reputation of international Grand Hyatt, front desk employees were not as kind as others even though they may be more fluent in English than other service employees in Shanghai. I usually evaluate luxury hotels from the attitude of bellman, first and then that of front desk employees. Bellman was nice, but front desk employees need to be trained in terms of kindness. Thanks.
