Very clean and excellent service. Front desk staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was very clean and well appointed. The only small complaint I have is that the mattress was too firm and pillows too thin for side sleepers, but I find that to be true in most Chinese hotels. The location can’t be beat, as you are right above the West Nanjing Station on Line 2. Definitely would stay again and recommend it to others wanting to stay in that part of town.

Great Location and Service
The staff and service waa superb. I have added the Cachet Boutique to my favorite hotels list in Shanghai. The location is ideal. It is easily accessible to the Metro with many shops in walking distance.

My stay was ok. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. And hotel has more charm than traditional chain hotels. But a real gym would be great and more local tips too. A good stay overall and I will probably come back.

Very comfortable, good location
Spent a single night during a business trip. Very comfortable room (kitchenette, and spacious sitting area). Location was good - near a number of museums, good options for food, and plenty of shopping. Staff very friendly and spoke English well - which helped given my poor Chinese (a lot of material in the room/lobby was also in English). The breakfast was also very nice. It was a quick 45min trip to the airport.

Easiest one of my favorite hotel experiences
Fantastic service-oriented boutique hotel. Staff is easily the best I've experienced in Beijing or Shanghai. Professional, helpful and approachable. Received room upgrade and loved having a coffee/snack bar/lounge open throughout the day. Many small touches made the stay much more comfortable than at standard large 5-star hotels. Will definitely try to stay here again next time I'm in town.

Hotel is located in the middle of Shanghai, easy access to varies visitor location by subway and taxi. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops. Good size room for family of 4. The only thing I don't like about is breakfast is only provided for 1 adult per room, add'l is $100+.

This one is not close to the beach! But it's located at the times square of Shanghai night life, or seems like that, so you're paying mainly for the location. And the wifi works well even for westerners because your access is linked to your identity through your room registration. As most may know, there's no China access to internet of any kind without registered identity, even if it's only through a text message sent to your phone at Starbucks. My USA phone could not receive text messages in China. Also Google sites and Hotmail are blocked throughout China, but I was able to get them well in the hotel by using ExpressVPN a $12.95/month service I contracted beforehand online from the States. Good luck. It's steps from 2 major Metro line entrances.

Our location is extremely convenient, as it is located close to all the major sites of interests in Shanghai: museums, parks, shopping and dining spots, and a few stops from the Bund. I am happy that you felt our WIFI worked well. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about the fact that your US phone was not being able to receive text messages or your inability to access Google sites. Great hotel near so much activity
Totally unexpected a huge deep tub in a huge bathroom with plenty of space with a large shower head and hand held shower head. The best bathroom experience I have ever had in a hotel room!!!! Plenty of space and a huge deep tub how nice. After dinner snakes and drinks on the 3rd floor with comfortable sofas...nice touch. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed and warm I had to turn down the heat in the room and it was freezing outside. Will most definitely stay at this hotel again plus it is right in the middle of so much activity, great restaurants, shopping, and a subway station within feet of the front door of the hotel

Fantastic Hotel, Even Better Service
My daughter and I stayed 4 nights at the Cachet Boutique Hotel in Shanghai and give it our absolute highest recommendation. Upon check-in, we were given one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in (I assume it must have been an upgrage since is was extremely large, with a full bath + a powder room, full living room, dining room, kitchen area, bar, and a separate bedroom with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in). The bathroom had a large shower with a sunflower shower head and a large size bathtub. In sum, the furnishings and amenities were 5 star. Full breakfast included made to order omlets, pnacakes, waffles as well as traditional Chinese items, fresh watermelon or orange juice, etc. The buffet was well-stocked and delicious. But the best part was the service: each day the omlette maker remembered how I liked my omlette and took care to make sure it was just right. The very best service was provided by Liu Jia who works at the front desk. In addition to traditional things like recommendations and directions (both excellent), she went way beyond what we expected in helping us with some unusual requests that required research and making phone calls on our behalf. In short, a fantastic hotel with great rooms and excellent personnel who really care about their guests. We will definitely stay there again next time in Shanghai.

A hotel that does everything right!
Excellent hotel in a great location, next to a bustling area with restaurants, shops, and malls - yet quiet and relaxing once you enter. Loved the lobby lounge, the afternoon tea and happy hour as well, which was such a treat. Also very impressed with the great service - everyone went the extra mile to help find taxis for work and for the airport. Great vibes, large hip room, will definitely be back here!

Great hotel modern but with old style charm. Perfect location above metro line 2. Short walk to bars and restaurants. Shopping up and down Nanjing Road. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great. Amazing Service
The staff went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay. They were very warm, welcoming and always ready to help. I had forgotten my passport in the hotel and only realized once at the airport. The staff, without hesitation delivered my passport to the airport and I was able to make my flight. I will definitely be staying at the hotel again.

Hidden gem!
This hotel and its staff exceeded all my expectations. The decoration is superb, rooms are super quiet, clean, and feel more like a little apartment than a hotel room. The staff greeted us with a coffee during check-in, and were incredibly polite and friendly. I stay at several hotels in different cities & countries during the year and Cachet is definitely in my top five list now.
