Good airport overnight hotelPosted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: The basics were provided. Mattress comfortable.
Cons: Could use a little more staff. Had some internet connectivity issues and the desk staff was busy with unending streams of new guests checking in.
Location: The area around the hotel is rather devoid of humanity, but several taxis are outside to take you to the city.
Reasonably clean, basic hotel experience. Not fancy, not bad. Decor could have come from Ikea.

Good inexpensive airport hotelPosted Mar 23, 2014
Spent a night at Jinjing in transit from Vancouver to Osaka. It's very modern, clean, secure and business-like. Shuttle to airport. Good breakfast buffet somewhat Asian oriented. Not much good for tourism as long way from downtown and does not cater to tourists. Highly recommend.

good but some problemsPosted Dec 18, 2013
Pros: comfy beds and pillows, close to airport, convenience of free shuttle
Cons: Check in process unbelievably slow: only 2 clerks, telephones ringing constantly, and many people waiting. Also, room smelled of cigarettes.

good place for a layoverPosted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: The bed was comfortable and had a western-hotel amount of padding.
The room was decent for a one night stay before a flight the next day.

Good for an Overnight Before a FlightPosted Oct 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
I booked this for an overnight stay before an afternoon flight. It can be a little tricky to find in a taxi (I knew enough Chinese to get by, but it can still be a haul from Hongqiao Railway Station), but it's a 10-minute walk from the Haisantian metro station. The room was comfortable, but even though I requested a non-smoking room I could still smell smoke. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and knew enough English to help. There are no dining options nearby, but there is a restaurant on the second floor offering meals (I didn't go there for any other meal except breakfast), and again the metro line is nearby to take a trip into the city for a nicer dinner. The breakfast is not included in your stay, and costs 25 RMB with your room key. No Western options available, but there were many things to choose from. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport that runs frequently, and you can pick up a card at the front desk with the shuttle's time table on it.

Cons: when issueing details add chinese address in mandarin as the taxi driver did not understand english address and so had to ring for directions.

The Jinjiang Inn is basically ok, but the rooms need to be painted in brighter colours
