Pros ok location cheap, good food close by own bathroom window that opens near subway cheap cons NOT SMOKE FREE! in any way shape or form Loud - all night bad smell throughout hotel staff spoke little to no english - had trouble finding our booking and needed to call hotels.com staff are not able to offer an assistance on tourism type information re: shanghai not a hotel used by foreigners - only Chinese clientele **note - you ultimately get what you pay for, this hotel is BUDGET do not expect any frills, assistance, service standards or cleanliness

Pros: Location is conveniance to Shanghai Train station
Cons: Staff are not focus
Location: Near to Shanghai train station
Comunication in English or Japanese is very limited. --> Need improvement. Staff are unable to foces and concentrate to 1 customer, handling 2 or 3 customer at same time. Supervisor are in back office room and not helping front office staff.

Good value in Shanghasi, will stay again next time

I stayed at many Motel 168 in China, this one got to be the best one I have visited so far. Location is near Jin-An Temple so it is near subway station and near shopping.. Room is clean for a Motel 168. Large and clean shower. Clean bathroom. And reasonably priced. I wish each room has a refrigerator. But overall I am happy with this hotel.

Acceptable hotel but terrible service

the exterior of hotel and the lobby looked OK, but the wait to get a room was long. service was surly and minimal. the hotel was noisy, with people yelling a lot. the room was clean and OK, the Chinese breakfast was good and generous.
