Worst I have ever seen

Location: it took about 20 min from the PuDong airport
this is one of the worst I have ever seen. Definitely I will not recommend it to anyone. First the front-desk has no showing of welcome of any kind. When I got to my room, it was ice cold. The heater was off even though the street outside was covered with snow. So without taking off my jacket, I turned on the heater. After 1 hour, the room was slightly warmer. I called the front-desk, and was offered a different room, but I had to walk through the cold hallway and came down to the front desk to pick up the new key card. This room is no diffence from the previous one. In addition to the unpleasant temperature, both rooms were very dirty. The chairs look dark, oily, old. The carpet was dirty with so many stains. Thick layer of dust was in the corners and along the edges. When I arrived, the taxi could not get into the building since the gate had a bar and vihecles were comming out, so I had to walk from the street to the entrance of the building with my luggage on the icy sufface. Next morning, the I asked the front-desk to all a taxi for me. When the taxi arrived, it could not pass wht bar, and again, I had to walk back to to the street. Over all, this is not a place I want to go back again. It was a terrible experience.

Economical but not that great

The moment I stepped into the room, I can't help but to notice the room had a strong smell of stale smoke. I have requested for a non-smoking room. I called up the reception and he explained to me that they do not have smoke-free rooms. While the strong smoke smell really puts me off, I appreciated that the reception explained the situation to me in a very nice manner. Not recommended for people who requires a smoke free room. The condition of the room was not great either, the paint on the door frames and wardrobe was peeling very badly. I'm quite disappointed that there was obviously no attempts to maintain the rooms. Despite the general bad condition of the room, I was pleasantly surprised that the bed setup and bed sheets where tastefully done and very clean. Don't expect too much from their breakfast, very basic and the same limited choices everyday.

I don't regret having stayed at the hotel. It was a good experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Recommend that you specify airport pick-up clearly to the hotel. I will probably return to this hotel because it is a nice place to stay and close to the airport.
