Long delay

Posted Dec 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
We arrived exhausted after a difficult flight but then had to stand around in reception for 40 minutes, with a young child, before they showed us to our room. They didn't seem to be very busy but gave no explanation of why we had to wait so long.

Staff are friendly and helpful! Location is great! MRT (Da Shi Jie metro station) is just across the street at the basement of a shopping mall. There are lots of 24hrs minimarts and eateries nearby too! Overall satisfied stay! :)

Good location, reasonable value .

Pros: Location
Cons: Limited English spoken .
Location: Conveniently located to various popular attractions
Good location but geared more for local clients than English speaking, eg. PC in foyer only in Chinese therefore difficulty in using, no WiFi facility, no room fridge. 3 seater lounge in foyer had badly broken seat base but still in use for unsuspecting users and could have caused serious back and bottom injury by falling through seat frame. Travel tours board only in Chinese. These things aside the hotel offers reasonable value and good location .

cheap cheap, and for good reason.

The one highlight of this hotel, besides its low low rates, is its location. It's within walking distance of People's Square, Nanjing Dong Lu shopping area, and with a little more effort, The Bund. The No. 8 subway line is nearby as well. Other than that, it's the bare basics. I got clean sheets and clean bathroom, but the carpet could stand to be replaced and the walls scrubbed. It has free wired internet, but it's slow as sludge. TV didn't work and the room didn't have a clock. I visited the Rayfont Hotel and Apartment, one of the other hotels I was considering, and that place is much much nicer and would recommend going with that place.
