“Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai”

Hotel is in an excellent location which is quiet, yet easily accessable by taxi and subway. Staff is very helpfull with efficient check-in and check-out. Breakfast options are very good. Room was comfortable and had all the expected ammenities, including several english language TV channels. Wired internet access worked very well.

It's the fifth time we went back to this hotel. We love it. The location is just perfect. The service is great, not mention the room amenities. And there are 5 restaurants on site, All delicious. Also the fitness center is just great... The best hotel in Shanghai in my opinion. Except maybe the bed is a little too hard for us.

We spent one night at the Okura Hotel and it was lovely. The staff were very helpful with all of their suggestions and met our requirements wonderfully. Only "fly in the ointment" was that the beds are hard....it was a good thing that we spent the day cycling around Shanghai and were tired!

Whether for business or leisure, you cannot go wrong with Okura. Hotel is so clean, classy and charming. May be a bit pricey, but is worth it. Shopping area just a good five minute walk, not to mention you can have your early morning jog in its own park. Will surely recommend to friends who are not reluctant to spend for comfort and luxury.

Central location but off the beaten track. Not a typical business hotel but has good offerings. Some respite from the frenetic pace of the city.

“Great service and location”

Stayed here for one night on business. Was tempted to go with the Portman Ritz but opted instead to save some money and go with this instead. Very happy with my decision. Service was amazing, location extremely central. Room service western breakfast I ordered was slightly disappointing, but should have expected that, and eating breakfast next to my window overlooking the park as the morning sun streamed in made up for it. Will definitely stay here next time I am in Shanghai, and will use the money saved from staying at the Ritz to splurge for fancy brunch somewhere else.

“Calm and relax”

We love this hotel especially after we spent a terrible night in an aweful hotel that we originally booked. The Okura garden hotel is very clean, bright and lively. The garden view is soothing and it provides a sense of tranquility. The house keeping team (three maids) cleaned the room thoroughly and the rest of the staffs is friendly and cordial. Also with the great location, we can do our site seeing conveniently. We will stay here again.
