“5 days in the Rayfont Shanghai Xuhui Hotel”
I stayed in this hotel for 5 days. Overall the quality and services were great. The english level of the staff is sometimes not 100%. The subway is far away. Keep in mind that the hotel itself is not one bulding, but 8 separate building with different facilities.
“EXCELLENT PRICE FOR IT LOCATION”
The hotel is in good location and the price was very good. The services was excellent. The breakfast wasn't that good specially if leave in western part of the world. Over all the hotel is excellent and safe and very clean. the room is some kind of small but of one persona it was very good.

Dommage que l hotel comprend beaucoup trop de chambres. l'architecture exterieure n est pas tres belle mais interieurement les chambres sont spacieuses, les etages elevés (30-40) permettent d avoir une excellente vue sur Shanghai. le service et le linge sont impeccables et ils parlent anglais.
“Convenient Location and Reasonable Price”
This hotel is located a short distance from the subway which allows for reaching most anywhere in Shanghai reasonably quickly. New shopping center with many fashion, electronics stores and restaurants a couple of blocks to the east. KFC, McDonald's, Starbuck's nearby. Check out the restaurants in the mall and the newly remodeled shops and restaurants to the south of the mall. Hotel is clean and reasonably priced. Serviice is better than average. Get out and see the sights of Shanghai!
“Met expectations”
The hotel room was nice and the service was decent. Would have been nice if it was in a location with more nightlife, but can't argue for the price.
“Good Experience at the Rayfont”
The room was clean and acceptable, and the bed comfortable. The staff was helpful and accommodating. We did find that the front desk was a buzz of activity, bordering on the intense. We enjoyed the morning buffet and judged it to be a good deal. We initially had a problem with the shower, and the staff graciously upgraded us. The location of the Rayfont is close to the Shanghai subway system, which is excellent. We recommend this hotel.

“Great Rate, Reasonable Hotel”
You can't beat the cost of the rooms. We paid a low price for a queen size bed. The room was small, but clean and had all the amenities. It had a strange bathroom that was separated from the bedroom with sliding glass doors, so if you don't mind loved ones watching you in the bathroom, then this is the room for you. The concierge and front desk personnel speak English, but not many other people at the hotel. The gym and pool are in a completely different building and difficult to find. They are sub-par. The restaurant for breakfast presents a passable breakfast buffet, but if you are looking for spectacular food, you will be disappointed. The hotel is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the nearest subway station (travel by subway, it is very convenient), but gives you an opportunity to look at the real Shanghai street scenery. Most places are a short cab ride away, and each cab ride is very inexpensive for most places in central Shanghai. If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel that gives you good amenities and is central to everything going on in Shanghai, then I would recommend the Rayfront. If you are looking for luxury and pampering, I would look elsewhere.
“OK Place to stay....lags attention to detail...friendly staff”
Positive: small but comfortable room. Friendly staff. Not a 4 star as advertised. Bathroom door was defective and would not close normal. Ask 3 times to fix, without success. Far from all attractions. McDonalds around the corner and a life saver. Room too small for my taste.
