Excellent Location and service quality
Posted Jan 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel is not in the MAIN heart of the city -- but if you need to stay in the ChangNing area, this is the best there is. Connected to a giant shopping mall -- you have everything you want there. Service staff is excellent and courteous. One discomfort I experience through my stay was the amount of dust, lint or whatever it is in the room. I believe its from the bed/quilt. Within hours of stepping in the room, I can see my laptop, sunglasses and the table top cover with white particles. As my nose if overly sensitive - i requested for a change in room which the hotel kindly did so. But it was the same in other rooms. So i suspect its the sheets and quilt problem. Overall, its was a nice experience.

Great Business and Family hotel, well located
Posted Jan 30, 2012
Pros: Room View
Cons: Nothing
Location: see review above
To start with, the hotel is very well located in the Changing district of Shanghai and sits on top of the Zhongshan Tube station, which will take you directly to many tourists areas as well as the Pudong Airport and Hongciao airport if you need. Adjacent to the hotel is the Dragon Shopping centre and it is a large shopping mall with hundreds of shops and eating places, it really is good. The hotel itself is very good and the staff are very curious and well spoken, the Salad bar is highly recommended for lunches, and their breakfast in the morning is TOP it has every dish you can think of for morning meals, it really was great. Rooms are spacious and very clean, expected from the Renaissance hotel, I stayed on the 39th floor, and the views from my room were amazing. I did get FREE internet as I belong to the Renaissance Club, and you can join for free anyway and enjoy the internet, both wired and WIFI, for business, this is essential. There are various bars and restaurants in the hotel and all were great, fully recommended

Excellent international hotel

Pros: Executive lounge view
Cons: Reception on the 25th floor so no direct elevator all the way down. Spa and massage service is shared with the adjoining mall
Great modern hotel with incredible view of the never ending shanghai from a superb executive lounge on the top floor. Stayed here many times and very consistent on service level, cleanliness. Only drawback is it is not in the city center Pudong If staying at this hotel - much closer to the hongqiao airport. As in most international hotels in shanghai - staff speaks fluent English

Great stay!
Posted Jan 29, 2011
My recent stay was very nice and very comfortable. The room was modern, clean and spacious with an array of hotel amenities, such as soaps, shampoo, razor, comb...etc. Each day, the room was cleaned in an efficient and timely manner. The staff at the "Navigator" desk spoke perfect English and were extremely helpful in helping me plan my touring activities...supplying maps and cards with destinations written in both Chinese and English. I would definitely stay here again!

The reason I stay at this hotel is because it is right on top of a subway stay station.

Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan - hub of everything

The location of this hotel is beatable. First, it locates right next to a city park, perfect for my morning stroll. Second, the hotel is right next to subway line 2/3/4, which makes almost whole shanghai in several subway stops away. Third, it connects to a shopping mall, which brings a lot of choices for dinning and other activities. Hotel amenity and room condition are all great also. Room is modern design, clean and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is that its internet is quite expensive instead of complimentary as I thought.
