Comfy Bed & Great Breakfast But Out of the Way

POSITIVES -Comfortable bed, great breakfast buffet (lots of Chinese and Western options), English speaking reception, and attentive staff. My housekeeper always made sure I had plenty of the complimentary bottled water. The Chinese acrobats theater is right across the street too. At first, I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as part of a tour I had purchased. When the tour ended, I stayed in Shanghai another night. I was so pleased with the hotel that I booked the extra night in it. NEGATIVES -Wifi is NOT free and although the location around the hotel was nice (by a high-end designer mall), it was not close to any must-see sights and there was not any night life within walkable distance. A taxi was necessary to get to get anywhere. And unless you can afford Hermes, Cartier, Louis Vutton, and other expensive brands in the designer mall next door, you have to take a taxi to get to the more affordable shopping.

Good location

Enjoyed the stay, good staff and location is great for visiting Shanghai sites. The bathroom is looking pretty dated, and seems long overdue an upgrade. Room was clean but stains on carpet.

Hotel with wow factor

Pros: Location, extremely comfortable rooms, lovely restaurant. Courteous and helpful staff.
Cons: Cost of short time wi-fi for family contact home use
Location: Close to restaurants, pharmacy and supermarket. Also close to both big designer shops and within walking distance of the Fashion Market (fake market)
Excellent location, close to shops and restaurants. Very impressive reception and concierge was extremely helpful. The only down side was cost of wi-fi at £12 for 24 hrs. Maybe fine for business use but over the top for family use when just sending an email home. Overall though, an excellent experience.

Really good Hotel and great location with a very friend staff, but the rooms decor are just old but in a maintain condition.
