“hotel om weer te boeken”
eerste keer in Shanghai. Restaurant in hotel prima! Vooral erg goed chinees restaurant. Jammer dat de punten als preferred guest niet bijgeschreven worden door de boeking via expedia. Zou wat aan gedaan moeten worden. Spa (zwemmen en massage) erg goed. Aan te raden.
“Great Hotel”
Highly impressed. One of best hotels I ever stayed in.
“Fine place to stay”
It is a nice hotel and good place to stay in Shanghai, esp. if you can book a room at a reasonble price. The staff was fine and the hotel is very nice. The pool was especialy nice for relaxation after busy days of sightseeing. The location is OK--walking distance from Nanjing lu and the old town (Nanshi)--although the area around the hotel is not particularly nice. The only thing that was anoying were the prices of products and services in the hotel, which in a typical Westin fashion were way too high, esp. for China: coke was USD 10, and it went up from there.
“Great hotel!!”
This hotel is beautiful and the rooms are wonderfully appointment. The service was great overall. The dining options were a bit strange as most of it was buffet style on the night we were there.
“Very Impressed”
When you first arrive at the hotel you can immediately see its high quality. Its focus is more on business travellers but if you need comfort after a busy day travelling around Shanghai there's no better retreat. The room's are high quality and I've never slept in such a comfortable bed.
“Great value and location in the heart of downtown Shanghai”
Pros: - This hotel is in 5 minute walking distance of the Nanjing Road East subway station. This is like the "Times Square" area of Shanghai. - Great pool for lap swimming - Good views of the city and location in the middle of downtown. Walking distance to banks, food, waterfront etc. - English speaking staff Cons: - Internet access is expensive at 100RMB a day - Shady and aggressive hawkers sometime in front of the hotel on the public sidewalk
“Would Return”
An efficient and friendly hotel. Services including free wireless access and attentive staff would lure me back to the Westin Bund Centre Shanghai. As well it is very conveniently located within 20 minutes walking didtance from the Bund and Nanjing Road,
“Great hotel”
Great location
“Will definitely go back, very nice hotel”
Restaurants inside the hotel nice but expensive. Good location.
“Great rooms and great location”
We have just spent 3 nights in Shanghai at the Westin and I could not recommend it enough. The staff spoke excellent English and were both accomodating with special requests (rooms close to each other for our whole party), and helpful with advice on where to eat / what trips to take / shows to see. We were lucky enough to be upgraded for free and had the most enormous rooms with beautiful bathrooms, huge bath and separate shower room. We saw everything we wanted to by walking from the hotel, it was very centrally located for the Bund and the old town. My father was with us, he is in his 70's and I am nearly 30. We both thought this was a superb hotel. The only downside was that drinks in the hotel were exceptionally expensive, but there are enough restaurants nearby to be able to just enjoy the hotel for the room and eat outside.
