Nice room. remote location.

Posted Dec 20, 2014
I had a suite. It was really big. Nice bathroom. Some things were a tad dated, the room was really hot with no way to cool it down but to open the windows (this was in winter) but overall happy. The location is middle of no where which was great for me as I like exploring and its close to my work; but your average shanghai tourist may not like it. The breakfast (which I sampled only because it came with the room) was terrible. As far as Buffett breakfasts, this was one of the worst. I may stay here again for work, but i won't be excited by it.

Visitor from Dubai

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything.
It was a truly horrible experience. The heat in the room didn't work. They changed my room. The heat didn't work again. The technician came twice to fix the problem. They decided to give me a third room! The staff don't speak English. The service is very poor. The location is also terrible. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Neither good nor bad

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Room is clean.
Cons: Need to train reception staff again.
Location: Hotel location is a little bit far from the centre, and need 15 mins to get the nearest tube station.
Good: Room was clean and water pressure was strong. Bad: Desk light was broken and drainage of washstand was not good. Reception staff were not friendly and rude, and it took 15 mins to get the nearest tube station.

Reasonable, clean, hotel, location challanging

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast too North American.
Hotel is clean and new. Rooms are adequate, although I had upgrade which had a great bath and view. Breakfast a bit simple compared to many in Shanghai Bund area. Would recommend for budget travellers. Access is a bit of an issue as off the beaten track and not on the Bund.

Way nicer than expected!

The room is way nicer than I expected. The staff are very nice too. Especially, it's my first time visiting Shanghai and know only a few things around. Highly recommend it!

Only under $65

Pros: TV over the bathtub, view of Pudong
Cons: management of everything
Location: It's under a highway but in walking distance to lively restaurant areas
What a waste for a hotel with such good physical plant to be such a management train wreck. They don't open the gym, they don't keep track of expenses (which is to the advantage of the guest--free breakfast and internet), they adulterate the food (water in the milk) and make sure there is nothing of high value, like cheese or fish, on the buffet, they refill the little soap and shampoo bottles with low-grade stuff and kind of perch the foil seal on top, and most of all, the staff is unresponsive to any request, surly, and unhappy. But look, it's close to the Bund, with spectacular views, the rooms are beautiful, and it's usually cheap. This last is key, because Shanghai is filled with actually good hotels.

Posted Jun 23, 2014
