Great resort in SharjahPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: Large reception area, clean, friendly staff, free wifi everywhere, 3 pools ranging from 0.5m to 1.8m, beach access
Cons: longer swimming pool and beach hours, main reception staff inform client of all options available to them at check-in (breakfast, swimming..etc)
Location: Sharjah Islamic Museum, Souk Market, Dubai
The resort is situated on the shores of Sharjah about 25 minutes from downtown Dubai by car. The only issue I found with the hotel that house cleaning is not detailed (they missed cleaning one day, and didn't find the bathroom cleaned thoroughly). Further, the pool closes at 9:30 pm and the beach at sunset. This is a bit early, I was expecting much later hours for closing the pool and beach. WiFi is available everywhere even in the swimming area (not on the beach). However, they have many access points, so you'll find yourself connecting to different ones as you walk through out the property. WiFi speed is reasonable for browsing/email. There are some slow down during peak hours. Some reviewers have commented on the quality of the beach water. The platform next to the hotel is a dry dock for repairing vessels, and it is not an oil platform. However, for the sensitive smellers alike myself, I found out there is an oil refinery just few miles away from the resort and that could explain the occassional smell of the oil in the air. The beach water seems clean and enjoyed it thoroughly. It is not as clear as jumeria beach, but it is good enough. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, we were disappointed that no one had informed us that breakfast was included!!! The food was good and prompt. However, the prices are outrageous for soft drinks and water bottles. Few minutes walk to the local grocery store will save you significantly on food cost.

Good value. Nice pools and beach. Great breakfast.Posted Apr 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
My family and enjoyed our stay and overall we had no complaints, apart from the taxi service from the hotel. Whilst I was expecting to pay slightly more than the metered taxis off the street, what I didn't care for was the driver who then pretended not to have heard of the very well-known road in Sharjah where I wanted to go to, and who took me on a slight detour! Do yourself a favour and just walk down to the main road and flag down a metered taxi (or at least haggle and agree a price in advance from the hotel taxis).

Hotel Looked Better Than What It WasPosted Nov 19, 2012
Hotel was mediocre. Definitely not five star quality. Expect people trampling you at the buffets.

Pros: The whole stay was great, pool, facilities, room.
Cons: The waffles at breakfast seemed to run out early and didn't appear to be replinished like other items.
Location: Sharjah was perfect, everything you need is here, Dubai still right there if you need to go there.
We had a fantastic stay here, our room was quiet spacious. There were lots of things to do in the resort. Food was reasonably priced, breakfast was great. A truly lovely stay.

Shocking condition of hotel rooms.Posted Mar 22, 2012
Pros: The communal area where is surprising good condition.Although we didn’t get to enjoy all the facilities up close as we are out all day sightseeing.
Cons: The condition of the bedroom and the bathroom. The ugly cheep, dusty, Stained MDF furniture in the rooms. For a five sear I expect better.
Location: This hotel is located near Ajman beach. This hotel is located far from the tourist places but taxies are cheap just avoid the rush hour.
We were very shocked when we were shown our hotel room. It had stains on the flour, mould on the tiles, and smell of damp in the bathroom. The bathroom door was extremely heavy and sliding not on rollers’ but literally sliding on the ground and therefore doesn’t shout properly, We felt as though if the children closed the bathroom door properly then one of the children would get trapped in there. The toilet was always about to overflow when flushed and I think on one occasion it did. The mattresses were cheep spring ones so therefore very uncomfortable. It was extremely difficult to get into the room as the cards did not always work. The staffs were slow in responding to our complaints about the toilet and the main door to our room not opening. They took cash up front for the bar in the room which was refunded when we left. There was Someone else’s letters in our room which meant they did not clean our room properly. How disgusting! They call this a five star hotel what a joke. Thank god we only stayed there one night and even on that day we tried to cancel our reservation after viewing it. I will never go back to this hotel.
