Worst hotel in Egypt Posted Feb 4, 2010
Upon arrival I was met by a very rude attendent who attempted to sell me excursions which I later found out were from a leaflet he had got from the street. No fan in my room, TV broken. I reported this 3 days in a row before anything was done. Hotel front desk receptionist accused me of only paying for 1 night at the hotel and that I needed to leave the next day. The mix up was sorted out, No apology The Hotel is under massive renovation, It looks nothing like the pictures shown. Noise from working men and machinary ended late into the evening. Meals at the hotel were healthy. Free Dinner/buffet is available but drinks are unreasonably high priced. Staff at the hotel were continually begging/requesting tips for no apparent reason/or service provided. Even the security guard at the hotel entrance was asking for a tip. upon leaving, the very rude and inpolite front desk receptionist demanded I pay for a drink I had placed on my hotel bill, which I complied with. The aggressive and rude manner in which this request was made was shocking. In summery the hotel staff made my expierence there truly bad and unwelcoming. The hotels biggest downfall are the staff. They are totally rude and unhelpful. This is the worst hotel I have ever been to (and I have trevelled all over the world). I cannot in any way recommend this hotel and advise all to stay clear of this disorganised Place.
